or buy something audio contro that will also control the frequencies for you, but if you're in the market for a new h/u it would be cheaper just to spend a little more for an active h/u. the eclipse cd8445 can be had for cheap nowadays because it is kind of old, but they are still awsome decks, that will give you active sub crossover and mids, the cd8455 can do three way active.

same here, but i would also look into the eclipse sw8200 as well.

i have found that though round pieces of wood they have at lowes work great. just drill a hole in the center and bolt it to where the spare tire bolts up then mount what ever you need to the wood, cover it up with the factory trim pieces.

except for the what 9 models of alpine the have active three ways crossovers an true time alignment?? on the one model eclipse that also has three way crossovers and TA or the other eclipse that has a two way crossovers and TA?? you need to do a little more research brother man. most top decks have 7-16 band parametric eq's. and if you're me lol you would have a 4 way parametric eq.

could have been something wrong with the prototype. you never know. if it were something burning on the sub i would have told him it's telling you to cool it down, but comeing from a proto amp is another story. you sure have a high and mighty attitude going on and if you haven't noticed you pissing off alot of the mods and the other members. it hought i would tell you since you seem to have not noticed.

only if he's looking for sq, even then if you don't have the components to back it up, it's basically useless. actually when i had me cd8445 i had problems with not being able to turn the gain down far enough.
