I take it they have typical box specs for 10"s and 12"s nuffin special?

I want to nab a pair of 10"s for christmas for myself... would make a great computer sub...

Ummmm you did notice i said he did an SPL run for the fun of it... !!??!! i just posted it --- from what i understand the SQ gang cant stand anything over 130db... wow some of you guys are out for blood... ? this was NOT an SPL setup he did the run for FUN too see what his setup would maxx out at I believe what they are poking at is that SQ is more of an RTA measurement and not spl measurement. I may be just as lost to.

Gotcha, care to share a bit more information about your setup ie box size and how many drivers you are using?

JIMJ how do you have yours setup? What size enclosure and what amp are you using? I did notice that the enclosure requirements are huge sooo may not be able to use this woofer.

With a pair I could achieve a 1.5 ohm load which isn't shabby.

not when your intending to use it for Car audio and you need a 1 ohm load... I would have to get a pair just to get somewhere near that ohm load..

no sealed enclosures for BL not good for it.

Sweet only thing tho they only come in svc 3 ohm? thats gonna hurt me no other coil configs offered?

They couldn't assemble the motor nor offer the customization if they came in magnetized... thats all done in house..

I can only tell u about one of the subs you have in questions which is the BL... I run a 15 pretty decent sub... Gets loud and doesn't sound bad doing it... Good ground pounder I would say..

What are you looking for in terms of output... SQ or SPL? what kind of substage are you looking to implement in your vehicle..

I was just about to come in and correct my calculations for the 10"s... thanks for the help M5... also why 4 10"s over the 2 15"s...

I would think that 4 tens would have the cone advantage being 40"s of cone vs. 30"s of cone?? Not quite the way you calculate the cone area... Its more like pi(R*R) so 4 10"s = 254.34 2 15"= 353.25 If I calculate things correctly..

Aside from the 2 15" subs having the cone area advantage... Why would it be better to have 2 15"s over 4 10"s.....

I noticed it yesterday.... Sweetness, the SSA shop is becoming a holy grail of sorts..
