  1. look into xcons power rating is legit and they sound great. The BL is more spl based but still a great sub for daily driving. Their cooling options takes the power handling to 2k at most, but they still rate them at 1500. The Q is a solid 1500 rms woofer that focus' more on SQ and maintaining linearity at high excursion. With your power, you could go with the Q, but I would suggest the BL over the Qs for your application. I would use about 5 cubes @ 32 for the BLs. Wouldn't tune much lower than that.
  2. will trade for n2, n3, or UFO motors probably.
  3. cloud77 posted a topic in General Fi
Can you make them? Pretty please? With sugar on top?
  4. he wants to run 6.5 cubes..
  5. with that power you might want to look at xcons or zcons. The BL would do alright though.
  6. 31s, this is why I use batteries with stud terminals on them under the hood and then buy 2 prong terminals on them. This will allow you to put about 4-6 ring terminals on each stud
  7. My 4 channel is an mb quart 4.80 Sub: SSA Zcon on a mmats m3000.1 Aiming for about 400 for components and a new amp, maybe more if I can sell some things. 2004 Pontiac Grand prix; An alternator after xmas is more of a priority, but I'd like to get started on picking up equipment since theres lots of good deals out there.
  8. I have an sp4 motor and 15" Ti basket, psi platform 3 motor and 12" basket, Re SX motor and 10" or 15" aluminum 12 spoke, 15" Fi Q pre-09 with newer recone. Let me know if any of that sounds enticing.
  9. Thanks for the replies and help so far gentleman. I want to get a quality all around sound in my front stage. Right now the 3 way 6x9s mounted in the enclosures in the rear are over powering the front stage. I am having to turn the gain up on the 4 channel a little bit higher on the front stage than my liking to be able to reasonably hear music over the bass. Maybe I just want to do something different, as I want to change my setup every couple months or so. I really don't want to build pods for my doors, but I have a 1" stock tweeter position that I feel I could be using as it is in a mid door location and feel I could get good sound from that position on the door. This is why I was looking at component sets, but if I'm not too pleased with my 4 channel right now I might as well wait. My dream 4 channel amp would be a mmats sq4150 to match my mono, but I guess the MB quart isn't too bad for now. Everything sounds great...Just looking for some more ideas for when the spring comes. Maybe I could try building pods, but they would have to look decent, and that's a whole other topic.
  10. Thanks for the response guys. I guess I want to re-do everything when the weather gets warmer. Never dealt with component sets. How does a 2 way separate tweeter with crossover benefit more than a 2 way or 3 way speaker. I have lots of space in my back doors to make holes and mount 6 1/2s or 6x9s. Just trying to get as much mid and treble in my cabin as possible. Right now I have enclosures behind my amps on top of the amp rack.
  11. check out the videos of showtimespl reconing. He does a really good job to help you understand from beginning to end. tought myself from those vids. Never had a failed recone
  12. customer service goes a long way...especially when the product is of high quality such as Fi woofers. @ a great price. Love Fi, I'll be back soon with an Fi build! just let me have my fun with my zcon =]
  13. as long as it works..someone may still be interested
  14. These dead batteries might have been what caused your amplifier problems.
  15. still available; treat yourself for xmas!
  16. I know. I want it too, but I just can't scratch up a trunk wall for this in a hurry. I really hope it sells here rather than on that other site.
  17. the integrated ones were in multiple runs correct? like 4 tinsels each + -. It jut seems to be the norm to have leads integrated or at least sewn
  18. Item: Fi Sp4 motor and 15" Ti basket I got this in a trade for an Fi BL, but I won't be able to fit a 15" in my car unless I build a sealed trunk wall. As fun as it sounded, it wouldn't get under way until spring time so I'm selling to get an alternator. Basket will be included in auction and still has terminals on it. Conditon: 9/10 Glue joints are clean; no chips or gashes out of the motor. Back plate was few scratches and over all is in good condition. Price: 250+ shipping to US 50 only please; entertain me with trade offers, but cash is king. Shipping: Item will be properly packed and insured using UPS as carrier. Pictures:
  19. why are the leads not sandwiched?
  20. accepting trade offers?
