  1. Well I'm looking for sub and port facing up, it's in the back of an SUV. The box will be against a wall on all sides, so only option would be up.
  2. Wouldn't a square port look kind of awkward with one woofer?
  3. Does that port length include the 90? Or is that port opening to back wall, then the 24?
  4. As soon as I get this box design down I'll go and get the wood! Help?
  5. Well, contrary to everyones votes... I'm going with an HDC3 for sake of cost. I just need someone to help me with my box design.
  6. Alright I'm completely lost with the ports. I make the port longer, yet the port area doesn't change. Could someone figure out the ports I would need for a box within those dimensions?
  7. How's that look?
  8. Soundlab is due to visit Enormis on the 15th I believe.
  9. Hoping to have this done by the 15th so I can show off when the sound lab visits.
  10. Don't have anything to show yet, but here is the plan: 8 cube box with an 8" aero port. 3/4 mdf all the way around with double layered top. 8" PVC port flared and flush mounted. 2x4 going from front to back, and top to bottom. Going to use bolts through the side as terminals. Woofer will be either an 18" UFO BTL or HDC3. Tuning will likely be 30hz. Amp is an old school Memphis 1500w. Old school meaning back before they wired to 1 ohm. Stock alt holds at 14.1 v with the red top under the hood so electrical won't be upgraded. I'm getting the wood and building the box Sunday. Opinions? Tips?
  11. There's a unorganized meet when the soundlab from RF comes to Enormis in Erie, pa. Unorganized meaning people just show up and show off next to the Rockford fosgate sound lab.
  12. I don't want to start another thread. But do I just make a basic box in that space with bracing? Then mount the 8" Aero inside the box flush with the outside. Double layer 0.75 mdf for the top.
  13. I have two sa12s I might be looking to sell.
  14. But with 1500w?
  15. I'm torn between an HDC3 18 and a UFO 18. Will be in 8 cubes with 1500 watts. I like the lows and sound quality doesn't matter too much for me.
  16. It's kind of ironic, I'm looking to buy subs but there weren't any in my dream. Only amps, which I don't need.
  17. So I had a strange dream last night. I went in my basement to grab my old 4ch amp but on the shelf was 8 NS-1s, 8 4ch kickers, 8 jbl 500.1s, 8 2ch amps called America, and spools upon spools of knu wire. Needless to say I grabbed all the N'S-1s and wired them up in my truck. But then I went to the beach...
  18. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/classifieds/item/52-18-ufo-btl/'%20title='18%22%20Ufo%20Btl How's that one? It has tears in the spider though...
  19. I might be up to buy one of your hdc3s if you decide to get the 4s.
  20. So either the Icon, Q, Bl, SX, or HDC3. All are about the same price.
  21. Are those in any kind of order? Looking for the best output that doesnt kill my savings. Thanks for all the help!
  22. Any suggestion for an 18 that would overpower my sa12s?
  23. 1500w at 2 ohms.
  24. So my best is one 18 then? Would I see much improvement with one 18 over two 12s? Also what about the port?
  25. The air moving keeps the bottle afloat at the gap while gravity pulls it down towards the corner since it's the lowest point. Go physics!
