  1. damn bro, what happened to that Daewoo? looking forward to this build, sounds like it'll be great.
  2. yeah, Mediacom just started that crap. luckily I got in before, but now i'm stuck at 20mbps unless I want a cap.
  3. I think getting a 2 way coaxial speaker like the kickers would be a lot better option than putting a set of tweeters back there
  4. if your not going to take anybody advice and you just have your mind stuck on what you want to do then just go ahead and do it. placing a lot of tweeters in your vehicle is a bad idea because I doubt that you have any processing on them to eliminate any frequencies that can be bad to them also tweeters aren't meant to play in the range that i'm thinking you want them to play. i'm sure the tweeters that you have and are looking at aren't designed to play in the 1khz range, but since you don't have a x-over or anything like that on them they are distorting like shit and screeching like crazy, like nails on a chalk board. I have 2 sets of tweeters in my Hummer with a good set of mids with a HELL OF ALOT BIGGER sub stage than yours and it's just about right. having what you have for a sub stage, a good set of components and a nice amp that runs around 75rms or so would sound great with aproperly set up system
  5. the best way to get more sound is to amplify something. to get louder and more sound is as easy as replacing the speakers in the front with a nice set of component speakers and get a good amp on them. even though you have the "mach audio" system and it has a factory amp, that amp puts out no more power than a normal alpine, kenwood, or pioneer headunit.
  6. that is absolutely insane!!!
  7. you know, in my Cadillac I had a set of components in the rear and it sounded amazing. love the sound of it much more than my Hummer that only has a set in the front. when I overhaul my system in there yet again I will be putting a nice set of comps in the back. they will only be getting half the power of my front stage, but I do like having rear fill. I know I like having sound coming at me from all sides, humans don't hear uni-directional. that's just me though and my preference.
  8. very nice! that's a single IA 40.1 powering those?
  9. what did you end up doing with this Mike? have you started on it yet?
  10. I heard, "That Cummins will shit on that chevy." yea, maybe my hearing is going bad
  11. did you hear the guy in the background saying "that cummins don't have shit on that chevy!" hahaha, right
  12. absolutely awesome!!!! http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/82972417/
  13. how long after the subs come back from magnetizing do you think you'll have the T/S?
  14. subs down and port facing forward has always been a winner.
  15. people are really F'ed up. yesterday in china a man took a knife to a bunch of kindergarten aged kids and now tonight there was a gunman who went into a nursing home in Albany. this world is seriously screwed
  16. lets dance in style lets dance for a while. heaven can wait we're only watching the skys. hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. . . .
  17. I'll be honest with you ChILL. I can't speak for anyone else here, but I get the sense that you really want to be accepted here. You have to ask yourself why you responded the way you did. I happen to think that some people were a tad harsh, but that's probably due to my sensitivity that comes along with my personality and perhaps my young age. But like Matt just said, that's just the way it is around here. I'm sure you've figured that out now. I know I couldn't respond positively if the people on the Hop said the things they said to you towards me. But I also know that's because of my own lack of self-confidence and my own nature of wanting to be friends with just about everyone. I understand that I am a very sensitive person and will respond negatively just like I've seen you respond negatively (maybe in a different way, but still negatively). As a result, I try to minimize posts that would allow people to pull punches at me, which is evident if you compare my posts per day to yours. Is it a perfect method? No. But I think I don't have as strong as a desire to fit in here as you do, so it doesn't really bother me that I keep to the shadows more than you do. I know that's against your belief of being yourself and flipping the bird towards anyone who has a problem with it; but the issue is that you clearly can't always handle people not agreeing with what you do and how you feel. You've asked them to adjust, which can't hurt, but the best way to get something done is to do it yourself. Even Sean said he wouldn't have a problem with your youtube posts if you listed why the song was meaningful to you or if you discussed your reaction. I know I would surely enjoy your posts more if you spent a minimum of five minutes thinking about the content and the messages you are sending to everyone here; the people you want, or at least you did want, to consider you as extended family. Listen to what the people here tell you. They have told you what they want from you. I can't honestly believe you are naive enough to think that everyone is just going to accept you for who you are. It would be nice if the world worked like that, wouldn't it? I always like to hear why people hurt. I ask and I never get an answer. if everybody just let things out like I do then I don't believe we would have mass murder like we did in CT. I think it's because people don't listen to people anymore, if you know what I mean. people always seem like they listen, but do they really hear you? I try to get everything out of me and hope that somebody listens. I would do the same for anybody.
  18. I do think of you guys as family now. I know I misbehave at times, but I never doit against you unless provoked. I respect you all no matter what you like. I know everybody is different and I grasp that and try to work with that, you guys are my family, lets agree to disagree. love youguys
  19. you know, I come in every night and listen to the same music over and over again. I love this shit. a lot of it is slow cool and calm and it just puts you in that place.
  20. wasn't he known as mr.rayray on other forums? if so then I know him happy birthday bro xXxOuTLaWxXx
  21. I never meant to be an aszhole when I came to this forum. the only thing I wanted to do was have fun and enjoy what people talked about, the things I enjoy. I feel the hatred that has come upon me is driving me to be a real dick and I really don't want to be. when I first came here I told all of you that I'm just here to "relax and chill". that's why my name is what it is. I don't want any trouble. if you don't like my music or my post then hit the "dislike" button you don't have to call me names or completely talk shit about my music. if you like it then by all means enjoy it with me, but if you don't then just pass by like you would a bum on the streets. I'm through with advise and I don't do logs anymore, but I love car audio and I absolutely love the music.
  22. maybe this is something you might want to look into. they sound pretty damn good and get loud http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=277-084
