What sort of off roading do you do? i do quite a bit of off roading. i mud the crap out of it and when it comes to snow i usually take the ditches instead of the road. i like to drive down gravel roads through the ditches and jump some field approaches. some other guy commented about parking lots and pot holes, but i don't have this kind of truck just so i can drive it down the road. i like to play with my toys I really don't see the advantage to 40's over 38's for practical off road use. You gain about an inch of clearance, but lose a lot of power. thats why i was planning on doing the Duramax swap. i was also thinking the 40's would look a little more bad ass also maybe

why do long division when the short way works just as well? or maybe it's said better this way "work smarter not harder" . if you get the same results either way then i would prefer the easy way. just sayin'

what do you think i should stick with M5? go with the 8's in each door and compromise the tweeter or go with a pair of 6.5's in each door? what about tweeter options, whats your opinion? i more than likelly would have thrown an 8in in each door and a bullet tweeter in the A-pillars shooting directly accross the dash at each other.

Just wondering. average 10.7MPG. thats another reason i'm going to do the Duramax diesel conversion, the extra power will be nice also. Will 10k even touch putting a Duramax in it? not likelly. it's quite a bit more than that, but i do get one more bonus from work that i'll be using since i quit being a boss. amp isn't too big for what you have. i've ran a Hifonics Thor per pair of 12in. Type R's before back in 05' and they took it. just make sure your x-overs, SSF's and gains are set properly

what would you guys think about going from 38's to 40's on my truck?

i usually stack on massive amounts of carbs pre work out. I'll usually eat a pretty large pasta plate and add in 36oz of MHP's "Up Your Mass" mixed with milk about an hour or so before, then i'll have another "Up Your Mass" mixer after with a protein bar.
