  1. I wonder why this keeps happening? I have not installed my SP4's yet but will be afraid to beat on them much since I keep seeing this issue with the SP4.
  2. I think the subs are badass. I was just curious because I bought 3 SP4 15's dual 2 ohm subs after talking to Nick and they will sit at a funky ohm load on my Crossfire XS-8K amp. If they are truly dual 2 ohm subs I will sit at 1.33 ohms.
  3. I am going to run my SP4's on one of those big Korean amps soon and was wondering the same thing. If they fail I will go with Team subs...

Too late had already ordered the dual 2ohm versions. If I wire all in parallel they will sit at .33 ohms but with rise the amp should play higher than that.

The reason I was wondering is because I have 3 subs and will run them on one big amp. The way it seems I will sit at 1.33 ohms with the dual 2 ohm SP4's.

I was wondering if the SP4 dual 2 ohm sub is actually 2 ohm or less than 2 ohm impedance? I see the RE on the subwoofer is 1.27. Just curious for wiring options.

I must say Nick is the man. I contacted him with a few questions about my order December 12th and not only did he adjust the order my 3 SP4 15's arrived 14 days(not working days) but 14 days later. That's only 7 working days because I am sure they took Christmas off. That's fast customer service and the reason why I stick with this company. Just wanted to thank Nick again. This will be my first time running 15's.

I have an update guys. I bought a Crossfire XS-8K to run the 3 sp4's. From what I am getting that amp gets down?
  9. J2phat4u replied to J2phat4u's topic in Fi Technical
Ok thanks man...I have been pulling my hair out because it hammers but full tilt is where it drops badly. I am hoping the 3 SP4 15's on the 3 2500bdcps will hammer as well.
  10. J2phat4u replied to J2phat4u's topic in Fi Technical
Ok I will try that. Also you think 6 D3100's is enough or maybe 8 since I will be around 11K total system power.

I wanted to run a second alt but because I have an Infiniti suv everyone I have contacted don't make a bracket for it. My alt is located on the bottom of my engine block. I have 2 runs 0 gauge positive and 2 runs 0 gauge negative front to back as well. Should my amps be grounded to the frame and then the rear batteries grounded to the frame as well? Right now my amps are wired into the batteries and then there is 1 run from the batteries to the frame for ground.

That's what I was thinking...I have 3 D3100's back there now...about how many more you think?

My question was in 2 parts. Do you think running the 3 sp4 15's in a C pillar wall would be good or put them in a box and whats your advice to improve my electrical if I ran a 10K or another 2500?
  14. J2phat4u replied to J2phat4u's topic in Fi Technical
No I know what impendence I would sit at. That's not my issue.
  15. J2phat4u replied to J2phat4u's topic in Fi Technical
Well I am running right now Rockford 2500's and would be running one to each sp4. I was thinking of running a AB 1100 or DC 10K to all 3 subs? My issue is to get a diagram or drawing from someone on how to wire my electrical because right now its struggling with 2 2500's?
  16. J2phat4u replied to J2phat4u's topic in Fi Technical
Yeah like 1.333 ohms wired down.
  17. J2phat4u replied to J2phat4u's topic in Fi Technical
Also would running one big amp be better than running 3 amps?
  18. J2phat4u replied to J2phat4u's topic in Fi Technical
I wanted to do a C pillar wall but I don't think that would be good since the subs really wouldn't be loading off anything from so far back. Opinions?
  19. J2phat4u replied to J2phat4u's topic in Fi Technical
No I feel you. I decided to go with a 32hz tuning and 197 square inches of port. Should hammer pretty good.
  20. J2phat4u replied to J2phat4u's topic in Fi Technical
Thanks guys. Yeah I caught on the port area. I know it had to be each sub since I have more than that now on my 12's.

I just ordered 3 SP4 15's and was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on enclosure size, tuning and square inches of port for it to hammer. They are going in my SUV and I will power them with 3 Rockford Fosgate 2500bdcp amps. My dimensions are 46W x 38D x 23H. I have no wiggle room for width but for depth and a little higher I do.
  22. This guy just don't get it. He posted last week complaining about not getting his FI sub and wanting to cancel his order. Today he post that he received his sub and happy. Now this? Can this be locked or him banned?
  23. Dude, if you read around the forum and actually understood how FI works it takes time to get your subwoofer built and shipped out. If you were not willing to wait you should have ordered something else from another company. Most people that order FI products which includes myself understand it will take some time to get it. The only thing you are doing now is setting yourself up to be blasted by other forum members and probably banned off the forum. Just wait it out and you will get a great product.
  24. I think if someone wanted to buy Skar they buy buy Skar. Don't need anyone's advice on how to spend their money..
  25. Next time I am home I will cruise south to see what you guys are working with down there
