  1. im not positive if you will METER better, however i know when you run off battery power you will get more juice to your amps because you can pass much more current through a kinetik HC2400 than a 300 amp alt. but u must have a good alt to charge ur batt also. hope this helps
  2. if you dont mind buying on the net, get a 300 amp alt from iraggi alt. ive heard good things about them. but if your running 7k rms once you get to about 3000 watts or so on the 300 amp alt you will start seeing a drop in voltage. but for DD 3000 watts is more than enuf. but when you want more power turn your car off and run your power through some really good batts (kinetikHC2400's) and you will see that 7k rms for a little while
  3. dude i love it, looks extremel nice great job
  4. im just wandering if its possible to fit 4 18's ssd's in a non-wall explorer XLT? granted, i know you cant just go out try it out, but i know alot of you guys have big suvs, and might have an idea. right now i have a range rover and i know i couldnt fit 24 cubes in there. any input is appreciated and i dont mind taking the backseat out but i really dont want to do a wall. the explorer XLT would be a later model like mid 90's if that changes anything
  5. very veryl clean install, impressive. looks like you did all your HW. and excellent choice of equipment. how you like that RF amp?

is it me or does that Fi dustcap just look awesome?!
  8. ok, so if it pulls the peak of the response to a lower frequency it will get a little louder on the low-end extension ? because thats what i am really after
  9. http://www.termpro.com/dbdrag/rules/index.asp?Page=2 i think thats all you need. good luck
  10. awesome, thanks alot. just wondering if the copper coils seemed to flatten out the response you got on the SSD's?

i think the 2 BL's would porably be a better bet if $ isnt a problem just bc of the cone area adv.
  12. I read th eoptions explanation for the SSD but i was wondering if the copper coil increases the thermal power handling of the SSD i know flatwind bumps it up to about 1200 but i was possibily thinking about 4 SSD's + copper running off of 4000 rms

im getting an explorer XLT and im wandering how 4 18" q's sealed would do VS. 2 18" BTLs ported. which would get louder which would sound better? im thinkin that the Q's would win both scenarios but i thought id come here to see what everyone thinks...
