  1. A pair of sundown's or what exactly. I missed the boat on this one. a Pair of 1500's in Western Canada.
  2. I was not putting down on Rob at all. I knew he was running 6k of power and 2x12's (Whatever they are)My point was that they should be running close to spec if 2x10's and 3k worth of sundown are running relativly close (within 3db's) in similar setups. By similar I mean single batt, high tuned boxes in a CRX. I had no intention of putting down Rob at all as his rex was still impressive...Sorry if it came off that way, he is a cool guy. BTW, I believe I am one of the few in the west to actually have access to a pair right now.
  3. ridiculous and illogical? the test numbers posted for the sundown 1500d were done so by someone on THEIR payroll. Similar to how the DD Z1 puts out 6000 rms on soundpressure.com. Except morons actually believe it because the sundown amp is a lot more affordable. A strapped pair of 1500d's has been tested to be 2.5db below a z1. And generally the z1s are known to put out a real world wattage in the 2000-3000 watt range depending on voltage drop, box rise etc. So in REALITY which amp is better dollar per watt? Sundown amps might be decent for beginners but I dont understand what their claim to fame is about running at 0.5 ohm daily. There are probably 100 other amps in the world that can do this no problem. And make more power. If you want to buy sundown go ahead....but dont pick up a lump of chit and try to tell people its gold. numbers, links, video....noone here is jsut about talk. provide proof, or shut up. two people have posted either pics or vids of the sundown porduct doing it's thing. where is this z1 beating the strapped 1500s? speaking of what you know nothing about, and or rumors, will only get your e-ass rung through a ringer. the man has spoken and provided proof. what do you have? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee why would they take pics and video of a test that wasnt even close? And one that confirmed what was already 99% believe that the sundown amp doesnt put out anywhere near the power claimed. If i raced a stock vw bug against a corvette would I have to take pics and video for you to believe the corvette one? Id be willing to test 8 sundown 1500d's against my 4 memphis 4kw amps on a limited battery system but that would be a waste of time for me because I know my score would go down. But id be sure to take countless pics and videos so you guys believed it. The person that did the test by the way was Yuli Shumsky (sp?) from ontario canada. Hes been finals a few times now. Termlab doesnt lie....and let me tell you 2.5 db difference isnt just a couple hundred watts. why would you take video/pictures? proof. plain and simple. nothing more, nothing less. is it really that hard to understand? and to use your racing analogy, look how many videos are on youtube, ebaum and whatever hosting site you can think of, of modified cars whooping up on stock ones. and it's the kids in the modified ones doing the filming. memphis 4kws? at least pick an amp that lives to tell the tale afterwards. i'd wager, strongly, the 8 sundowns would put a very large ass whooping on the 4kws. how do i know? first, i work for memphis dealer. EVERY, and i mean EVERY 4kw we have sold, has gone in for warranty work at least twice. and while most have probably not heard of yuli shumsky, i work with james herren. street a world champ 3 years ago. he lost world finals 2 years ago due to, GASP, memphis 4kws dieing on him. he has a FULL memphis sponsorship, and won't touch a memphis product. he had 4 4kws before they were available to the public. each one died, again, at least twice. one from jsut hooking it up. the only chance the memphis has is at 16volts+. and even then, the sundowns can run there as well.... yep, you take your memphis stuff. i'll take the sundown. and yep, the termlab doesn't lie. by then again, you have yet to provide anything, anywhere, other then words to back up your claims. jacob has posted what his amp will do. let's see what the z1 can. so put up or shut up. don't diss something if you can't provide proof of it's asswhooping. i mean hell, if the z1 really did that, and you post proof, you might just inspire jacob to take sundown to an even higher level. and how many times does jacob have to answer the question about loyd and payroll? and who in the fudge ever heard of anybody on caraudio.com payroll? maybe your living in a cave. that is such absolute horsechit, lol. thanks for the laugh of the day bro. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee What I found humurous is that stevew007 pulled a 151.2 with 2x 9510's and 2x 1500D's strapped. At the FX DBDrag, they were amazed that "Rob V.o" pulled a 152.4 with 6k and 2 9512's. Looks to me that he should have been atleast 3db above with more cone and double power.
  4. You are referring to the nightshade. Jacob, you got a time on it?
  5. Thanks for taking care of that Jacob, either way he was getting a new one. Sundown has a rep to uphold .
  6. I am a Rep in Canada for Sundown Audio. I can get you a price on a 1500D. I currently have 2 right now and absolutly LOVE them. We need to change this negative perception in Canada. Brad
  7. I am sure Jacob will respond to you, but if all else fails I have a few here that I can give you if you pay shipping.
  8. If ppl have questions, there are others on here that can help out. As well as dealers willing to answer almost anything.
  9. These amps are rock solid in every way. SQ, Power, reliability, and Sundown's service is VERY GOOD! I am a little biased because I am a rep, but they truly are a top-notch amplifier.
  10. Welcome aboard!
  11. I am assuming you have access to a TL?
  12. Silverbane replied to jspsc123's topic in Sundown Audio
I think it is all cool man, best place to talk to Jacob is through email.
  13. wow. Can the BTL's Handle 6k watts Daily? Haha, I thought u wrote 3 of the 15k's. I see it is only 2k per sub. Still sexy!
  14. wow. Can the BTL's Handle 6k watts Daily?

If you are looking to talk to the owner, his email is [email protected]. Website is www.sundownaudio.com.
  16. Sounds like you're going about things the wrong way, if you're looking for midbass... I am not gonna say I know the guy, but it sounds like he is looking for low end freq response and is not getting it with his 5.25's. I agree with Scott, I think you would be happier with a sealed 12" Q or 2x 10's with Copper coils (More likely the Q). The question is do you have room for it?
  17. Have you looked at the Sundown SAE-1000D? Talk to Denim, I wouldnt think they are too much over $300 for one from him...Solid little amp and Jacob will offer you some of the best customer service you can imagine (Same as Scott).
  18. What kinda car? What 10's?
  19. It is a start. Now I just need to get kyle to do me some more wallpapers and build my street machine!
  20. Denim or Kluv on here are usually very well priced. As for running at 1/2 ohm, you will be ok with your setup to run at .5 ohms. It is NOT warrantied though.
  21. That should be sufficient for 1-ohm operation all day long!
  22. Denim knows where you can get Sundown for a good price!
  23. email scott directly asap. [email protected]
  24. Jacob makes some of the best stuff around, and backs it with some of the best service around!
  25. I am at only 2 days on an email from you, for TC I am sitting at 2 months and 3 emails to 'Heather'...
