  1. More then likely you had them wired down to low. Generally home audio amps aren't built for low loads, most in the 8ohm range. Seeing the btl only comes in D1 or D2 ohm the highest you could have had it wired was 4ohm which would be low enough to blow a cheap plate amp that was rated for an 8ohm load.
  2. Using your max dimensions of 36"W X 26"D X 16"H each chamber will be 2.45ft^3 after all displacements tuned to 33hz
  3. I know you can get the 12's in D4 Should be able to do the 15's also.
  4. Is that amp just for the sub or are you running components also. If it is just for the sub I would bridge channels 1&2 to one voice coil and 3&4 to the other voice coil. That is the way you would get the most output of that amp with that sub.
  5. If it is 7ft^3 after all displacements 9.25" for 2 4" ports is about right for a 28Hz tune.
  6. That sucks for him. Looks almost like the door is creased.

    meh
  8. Depends a lot on vehicle.
  9. It is only one slot port. It is an excel spread sheet that I set up.
  10. Had this one laying around, should work out fine. I'd add a little bracing to it also.
  11. What size BL?

I hooked back up the USAcoustics. Still have the original faint steady hiss. What is really odd is every now and then I will get a very faint alternator whine on top of the steady hiss then it will go away.

I find it amusing also that if you buy the car you get liquor too.

The Leviathan is a six channel amp. Zed hints at a 100W/C amp coming out in the manual but doesn't say how many channels it is.
  15. Thread that explains it all.

They actually run through a good part of the city. Pisses me off because Baltimore is no where near as bad as Detroit or Atlanta or Cleveland or Cincinnati or DC (yes I have been to all) etc. but because of "The Wire" it is grouped in with that type of city. Hey, Detroit ain't that bad. Detroit is a shithole. Well yea, but it could have been a beautiful city. There is a lot of old buildings that had a really nice structural beauty to them they just weren't kept up.

Hey, Detroit ain't that bad. Probably should have added, there are just some parts you don't go to.

  20. I've heard the 2-3 amp rule also but I also believe in being a little on the safe side also. A relay only costs about $5 at a automotive store and then you could run a bunch of stuff off it if you wanted to. ie lights, fans etc.
  21. Being that it is a twelve spoke basket I will say that it is the same as all the other woofers that use it and is 14.125".
  22. I was gonna say poke them with a stick but.... You can probably do it one of two ways run a relay or daisy chain the remotes of the two amps. The relay would probably be your safest option as your headunit remote output only can produce so much current to turn on the amplifiers. But since you are only running two amplifiers you may be able to get away with daisy chaining the remote outputs.
  23. 1. bromo 2. I qualify and agree 3. 1999 pontiac grand prix mach5 mids, seas neo tweeters, IA flatlyne subs all soon to be powered by a Zed Audio Leviathan. 4. I will promote them by posting logs on here and CA-f and Roe among other sites. 5. My left hand is slightly larger then my right.

Really shows the sheer magnitude of a horn enclosure. I tried to dive in to the math in desigining one and after reading up on them from this site http://www.quarter-w...orn_Theory.html I couldn't figure out how they shrunk down the size of it to fit it into a car.
