Just to clarify do not remove stock cables add to them, current chooses the path of least resistance. And for a visual of the big three, cause it is easier to understand when seeing
  3. One power wire is probably the constant 12V source and the other is a switched 12V source. I would use the harness and add a ground to the rear of the deck, there should be a screw to attach one.

  8. I have no experience with the Xthunder series but I liked my 801d from them, it was a strong little amp.

Nice looking out. I cant wait to see what they come out with.
  11. Laptop = onboard video. Your gonna have to replace the whole motherboard.
  12. I believe he was asking what the quarter wave lengths are ie 30hz, 40hz of each side? Are they the same are they different?

I am a little unclear on what you want to do. You want to connect a LOC to the outputs on the alpine amp? If so I would be a little cautious of burning the LOC with to much power. Isnt there a RCA output on the Alpine amp so you can daisy chain the amps with RCAs?
  14. Good luck with that, as far as my research goes I haven't been able to find any sort of building information on those types of boxes.

Did you put the front speakers on the rear channels and rear speakers on the front channels to completely eliminate the amp?

  19. I like 1&5/8" Dry wall screws and how many depends on enclosure remember they are there only to hold the wood together while the glue drys. I Usually space them about 4" apart. Also dont forget to predrill holes.
  20. 48" X 97" I like the cutlist program gives optimal layouts and accounts for blade width.
  21. ive yet to build a bandpass for anything yet. so idk about one for the E8s Isn't that what your doing now. You have a filter on the front wave of the sub and a filter on the back wave of the sub.
  22. D6's cannot be rebuilt by diamond. Fi will/can recone them but you have to send them in to get it done (I checked on it for my blown 10's) To me that is more of a reason not to go with D6's I think my choices are down to Flatlynes or Icons.

  24. Whats confusing? Double baffle because the sub is a good 40 to 50 pounds and it will also cut down on enclosure flexing.
  25. This sounds interesting not sure how well it will work though.
