  1. Id do something like this.
  2. your going to need to recalculate everything also if switching wood thickness.
  3. Have you decided on the thickness of the wood your using? 1" may be a little thick for those dimensions ex your height is 16" so your internal height will be 14" and the 15" cutout diameter is 14.125" see what I'm getting at. Also using 1" wood with those dimensions you are under the minimum box requirements of 3cuft.
  4. Looks great. I was scared to click the link, I thought it was going to be a box with passed kidney stones in it that you collected.

I was just going to ask if there was any updates or ETA's on the new stuff.
  6. Everything you said is enclosure dependent.
  7. Cutlist http://www.delphiforfun.org/programs/cutlist.htm

How much? shoot, I don't know. Maybe $20 plus shipping each? Not really sure how much blown amps go for. But to me they're pretty much paperweights right now. I may be interested in these if the others arent.
  9. Remember that response is assuming an infinite environment. So the response is going to change as so as you put it in a car.
  10. Sweet, It looked like it stayed pretty flat from 25-30. How flat does the response stay?
  11. At least 75 amps cause that is the amps fuse rating. Usually the power wire is fused to the capacity of the wire unless the amp doesnt have internal fuses. edit thought of wrong amp so wrong fuse rating, fixed.
  12. http://www.knukonceptz.com/ they have some good kits.
  13. Both Fi and AA are viable options but I'm not sure I want to go in that direction. Out of the list the I have narrowed down some, it was difficult but have cut some out. The ones left are. SSA Icon 12's Incriminator Audio Flatlyne 12s ( They are on sale right now) SoundSplinter RL-P 12s ( problem only D2 available so only a 2 ohm load on amp for the pair ~300 to 400 per driver) Mach 5 IXL 12's ( problem only D2 available so only a 2 ohm load on amp for the pair ~300 to 400 per driver) Diamond Audio D6 ( heard them awhile ago and was surprised by them) JBL W12GTi Mkii ( D6ohm, Odd ohm load but shouldn't be a problem) The JBL is on the edge of being cut because of recent information on them not handling over powering (could be a problem when testing different alignments) and trouble of getting a recone, but was told they sound really good. The two dual 2 ohm drivers are on the edge of being cut also for coil options and the RL-p may be a problem for oringinal parts (I know other companies can recone them). The D6 could also be trouble in the reconing department.
  14. Going on what you said I would get a 12 sealed and if that wasn't enough output then try ported or different style of box. More then likely the 12 is going to lend yourself more options in enclosures just judging on the limited information.
  15. Should be a standard 12 spoke and the ones I've seen diameters are 11.125. As for outer Id go with 12.75" or greater depending on how big your finger are.
  16. no they will run fine on 1500. Its just 1500 does not = 3000
  17. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6394_K...+L7+Series.html
  18. What? There is 1500 watts difference.
  19. reasoning?? The D6's I've heard were pretty loud but again I am not concerned about output they were also crisp on the notes they played. But I really don't know to much of the setup they were in as far as box volume and tuning. I am going to assume that it was a relatively high tuning as it was at a local audio shop and looked to be a prefab box. Edit: Spelling error bugging me

Man I miss playing death matches in that game. It was always fun to get a group of friends playing on some custom wads.
  21. 1. I'm not to fond of running car audio amps in the house and im sure the cheap amp you have now will be more then enough output for a room stereo providing a good enclosure. 2. Have you thought about designing your own bookshelf speakers. You can get some good designs off the internet and could be a good cheap alternative. look into zaph audio for some good references. http://www.zaphaudio.com/
  22. So I will be in the market for new sub woofers and I need some help narrowing/making a choice. They will be 2 12's What I'm looking for out of the sub is some thing that will play nicely with the front stage, which will consist of Mach 5 mli65's in the doors and seas 27TFNN's in the pillars being ran active by an 880prs. I'm sure 2 12's will have more then enough output for me so that is not being considered. The subs will start out their life in a sealed enclosure but I would like them to be versatile enough to experiment with different enclosures. Power available is 1400 ~ 1600 @1ohm and I have no idea at other impedances its a sundown Audio prototype. Price range looking at 0 to $300 per driver Some subwoofers that I have been looking at are (in no particular order) SSA Icon 12's Incriminator Audio Flatlyne 12s ( They are on sale right now) Stereo Integrity Magv4 (problem only D2 available so only a 2 ohm load on amp for the pair ~300 to 400 per driver and heard they are a sealed only driver) SoundSplinter RL-P 12s ( problem only D2 available so only a 2 ohm load on amp for the pair ~300 to 400 per driver) Mach 5 IXL 12's ( problem only D2 available so only a 2 ohm load on amp for the pair ~300 to 400 per driver) Diamond Audio D6 ( heard them awhile ago and was surprised by them) JBL W12GTi Mkii ( D6ohm, Odd ohm load but shouldn't be a problem) JL Audio 12W6v2 ( Kinda pricey) Soundstream R1-12L ( Not to much information on these around Also pricey) Polk Audio SR12 ( havent heard much on them) Oz Audio Me 12.4 ( could be difficult to find) If I forgot any information let me know. Any other suggestions will be taken note of.
