heading in new direction....
well i had some time to mess around with things today in the gf's car (05 grand am) and got to taking apart the doors. to my suprise the stocks are 4x6's and not the 6.5's i assumed they were . didnt really want to get to involved with it as i said, its the gf's car. think some decent 4" or 4x6's with amp would be good enough or should i bare down and custom the 6.5's? if you were in my sit. what would you do?

Enclosure recommendations for 12" Atlas
1-1.5 sealed ...bigger will give you a little more output, personally i liked 1.25 the best. 2 cuft @30hz if you go ported... i liked this the best in my truck (sonoma x-cab). you can message me or email me if you'd like any more info on [email protected] - rob

New product pricing is up!!
will it be possible to get the arsenals in a d2 config. for those of us not running a ton of power and using a single sub setup?
-
finding the right sub....
i was looking at the ssd, but was unsure because of the power. most seem to run 800 at a min. and i am only going to have 500...

finding the right sub....
i am pretty much lloking to totaly re-do the setup in my truck. right now i have a 15ava and a bx1000, and i want to downsize. my truck has pretty much become a to and from work daily driver and do not need that much bass anymore. i just want a little something so i can still enjoy the music. i love the ava, and am hoping to have a similar sound. i am looking for a 10" and would like to keep the power handeling around 500@ 4ohm. as far as a box goes up to 1.5 cubes would be ideal. i listen to a variety of music ranging from hip-hop to country, and rock music, so it has to be versitile. what do you guys think?

15" BL vs. 15" Avalanche

Ascendant Audio's New Home!
any word on the ava/arsenal replacements scott? i have a 15 ava now and i am in the market for something for the gf and she basically wants what i have. also looking at the 15q.....
-
optimal power for the ava?
i have run both the bx1000d and bx1500d from hifonics to my 15ava. in a 4cuft 28hz box. the 1500d wired at 1ohm seemed to be a little much for it at a high volume. it starts to make a funny smell. the 1000d (curently using) seems to be a much better fit. i can play it as loud as i can tolerate for extended amounts of time with no problems at all. hope this helps....

HOLY CRAP!
:lickscreen: this is top secret intell at this point, Which is as much of an answer is needed, lol. indeed. thats sweet.... x2 its a good thing we just got a new car and the gf wants a kick ass setup....

ava
If I remember correctly the recommended Avalanche 15 ported box for car was 3.5 cubic feet tuned to 28 Hz. I will double check later to make sure I am correct. That being said, you can adjust the tuning to change the output/character of the sound. Tune it a little higher and it will definitely get louder. The 28 Hz tuning will give you fantastic lows, and that is what most people love about the Avalanche. It just comes down to what you want. Chad Kuypers Ascendant Audio i ended up going with 4cuft. @28hz in my sonoma. it gets pretty loud and drops REALY low. -rob
