2 4" is for like a single 10" sub.

Definitely not enough port area. I would do (2) 6" aeros min but try a 10"

Yea it says SSA and icon underneath it. It's the convex dust cap. Jus wondering if I can use the new icon dust caps so it doesn't look ugly. Dude also has a ssa Zcon 12 for 250. Hmm lol

I saw on CL with a guy with only a dented in dust cap for $75. He said that's all that's wrong. It's a first version icon. I would love to have it. Can I get a new dust cap for it?

If everything is installed correctly you will fall in love. I know I did lol The Xcon is an amazing sub that sounds so good but also gets very loud!!

If port need be in the middle, to achieve the same tuning the box volume will go down compared to port being on side.

sounds great! no reason to jump in over your head. if you have a home stereo or computer speaker set up it might be fun to pick up a 2x4 minidps unit and play around with the software and tuning. i think this would be a great way to learn before trying to do it in a car. I'll keep that in mind thanks man!

Way over my budget.

I'm not sure if I will be going active now. Too me it seems like too much work in a way. I have limited time to a lot of things now since college is my top priority now. I appreciate you guys making me realize I would be over my head if I jumped right into doing active now. I'll go with a set of components and when summer comes maybe I'll have time and understand more about this to change over to active. Thanks guys.

I was more curious on it's output capabilities. Is it going to be a louder sub like the magnetar or more towards the ethos or even towards the primo?

I never had a goal to go active but to just be as loud vocally as the ethos. I just thought active would be the better way for me to go now but I didn't realize all the work that went into it.

shallows are in the line up, just don't have samples on them yet. As of right now this is what my year is looking like. 1. Magnetar to be available in beta version (open tooled parts) within 5 to 6 months. 2. In a few weeks Enrique Stiles will begin working on engineering soft parts that will allow ~60mm one way usable throw. These parts are to be available for this fall. 3. Once soft part engineering is complete a NEO MMAG driver will be developed by Enrique using a 3.5 inch coil with edge wound windings inside and outside the coil former. (Think super high efficiency like in Pro Audio). The goal of this driver is to be the highest displacement 15 inch subwoofer ever developed, by a long shot. we are hoping to have this available for this fall under $1,000 MAP. The sub should weigh in the neighborhood of 25-30 pounds. 4. By then I should have the Primo production ready for sale and have the prototypes for the shallow mounts complete. 5. Once the prototypes are complete and nothing needs to be tooled then they will be put into production. 6. After that we will look into less expensive drivers under the $200 range. What I s the neo mmag sub going to be similar too? Like the magnetar or ethos or what?
