  1. Happy birthday man!
  2. The box requirements are on-par with the SA and Z v.3 lines ; BUT the new suspension allows for so much more capacity a larger box can be utilized for greater bottom-end extension with no worries about damaging the woofer; so the box RANGE is dramatically increased. Ooops I thought this was the thread about the X series. That's what my question was directed to. Is the X series around the same as the SA series? Or is it the same answer?
  3. I would also be able to do it to. I am just south of flint mi in th Howell area. But I drive to my dads in Monroe which is only 15 mins away from the Ohio border.
  4. Welcome!!

Welcome! wow I didn't know this many Michigan people were on here!!
  6. That's why I'm doing with my components, putting them in stock speaker locations. is the tweeter up more towards the dash or by the 6.5 down by the feet?
  7. It's hard to suggest speakers like that because what might sound good to me might sound like shit to you. I will say that the incriminator audio i6.5s have been liked by a lot of people. Check those out and they're around 100 in the ssa store.
  8. Damn I thought I edited the thread and added it. They are dual 1 ohm subs. Thanks for pointing that out polish.
  9. What are the box requirements for the 12. I think I read somewhere it was the same as the sa series.
  10. No video on phone and in class lol ill check it out when I get out of class. Thanks for letting me know about that.
  11. I have a Zcon 12 on a BC2000. I am unsure on how to set everything properly. I set gains by ear and it has always worked out for me. Now how do I tune everything? I have the power and ground of the lc2i at the battery in back. I have left and right inputs tapped into the rear speakers. There are 3 dials. I don't know where to start. I tried messing with it last night and couldn't get it right. If anyone that has/had this can help me that'd be great. Thanks in advance.
  12. Nicee SSA makes some great products.
  13. For future reference, http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp is a good place to figure out different ways to wires subs.
  14. I'm not bad mouthing FI products, because I know they have badass subs. However, their customer service is what prevents me from wanting to buy from them.
  15. Need these gone!! 300 plus shipping for both.
  16. You bought it from me hahah damn if I known it was a different setup for the case and hat your tb was a 07 i would of said something.
  17. That amp should be fine for a set of comps. It's really hard to recommend components because everyone has different listening tastes. I know a lot of people are very happy with the alpine type rs and incriminator comps which are in the ssa store.
  18. Finally he gets banned! All his posts and threads were annoying as hell!
  19. I would just leave the back speakers stock off the head unit. Focus more on the front speakers. I would also do components over coaxials. This way you can put your tweeter higher up. Get a 2 channel amp for your speakers and a monoblock for your sub.
  20. The BTL N3 is the loudest I know of, if you know of a louder one post the specs.. SPL@1w1m is a good estimate of how loud the subwoofer is.. Spl@1w1m already factors in cone are but doesn't factor in gains from a box and cabin gain.. Also like I was saying the FS as a rule is a good indicator of how the subwoofer willl preform. A low FS subwoofer will almost always have a lower frequency then a higher FS subwoofer.. XMAX also must be looked at SPL subwoofers generally have larger XMAX then SQ subwoofers.SPL@1w1m+RMS power will give you a good idea of how loud a subwoofer can be if installed ina proper box. Quit saying that man. Your wrong and it's starting to get annoying. You're* For the money, the N3 will probably offer better SPL scores than others. For sheer loudness, probably not too many subs in it's class. A warden vs N3 would probably be the best. Can't really compare a DDZ since it's triple the price lol. But you can't always use a subs SPL or efficiency as a judgement of output. My UFO subs with sundown parts had a higher "SPL" rating 92% iirc, but sounded better. Not as punchy, but I went to a longer, heavier coil, different spiders and a heavier cone. FS prebreak in was 33-34. High fs could indicate a better sub for sheer output though. High xmax isn't always associated with SPL. Granted there's been a change in that realm. Before, SPL subs typically had a shorter stroke. It's all in the manufacturer's design. Damn my auto correct on my phone always changes it to the wrong you're lol

  22. Damn man that box looks really good!!! That box is huge lol I just went through your build log and you got a cool budget setup going.
  23. Maybe I can get a hold of him a see what his dimensions were. He had is front firing though.
