I love it. Its really starting to break in now and show its full potential. I still need to deaden my rear deck area...it gets hammered to say the least.

This is my 12" BL d2 off a Nine.1 at 1 ohm. 1st part of the video is what it sounds like from inside my kitchen. Video is kinda dark...due to poor lighting, sorry for that. Ill try to get another one later with more light. Enjoy.

I believe tc's are more of a hatch then a trunked car.

Id say 2 BLs as well. I have one on a Nine.1 and it just slams in 2.2 cuft @ 30hz.

If you need some 1/0 gauge you can get some eNetics from eD for $2 a foot here with their forum discount. I run this from my bat and ground to distro blocks, and used for big 3. Good wire imo...

Have you done the big 3 with 1/0 gauge? It may help your voltage problems. Nice story btw...my (1) BL 12 shakes everything inside my kitchen from the garage and drive way, and everything in the garage vibrates like hell...the door, the ladder hanging from the ceiling...everything that isnt bolted down. Loudest 12 ive heard hands down.

How close is that port to the rear of the hatch?

Well i got my BL 12 Box done today by a guy who did previous work on my car and i gotta say he did a great job... Entire trunk is deadened...lid, walls, floor and tire wells. Nine.1 and Distro blocks are mounted on the rear of the box. Fi Sticker on passenger side. I gotta say this guy made a killer box and it matches my carpet in the trunk almost perfectly(minus the stain). Final specs came out to be 2.2cuft @ 30hz. The sub sounds awesome...very loud, very clear, A LOT of excursion and gets LOW in this box. Ill get a video of it tomorrow because it was a bit to late in the evening here to crank it up around where i live. I cant wait til this driver is fully broken in...its going to get even better. Yeah has male/female ends so install it where your HU RCAs connect to the amp. I personally have never used one but thats what its designed to do...filter out 30hz and below frequencies.

Its perfectly fine, no need to apologize. I read that post and expected that there could be a delay so thx for the heads up.

If the SSF is set at 30hz then nothing will be played by the sub 30hz or below...so if there is a part in a song that is that low it wont be played. Also if your sub amp doesnt have a SSF installed you can buy one to add onto your amps RCA input from your HU. Here is one for example: SSF

Well i came home today from lunch to find this... After unpacking it was time for the battle of the 12" Subs! The 1st contender was the 12" Fi BL d2 w/ cooling! VS... The 12" Firehouse w/ the works! After a close battle the Fi came out on top and well the firehouse put up a good fight it just had to be eatin! Ok all jokes aside this BL looks great, very well built and beefy. Box will be made over the weekend and should be up in running in a few days. Prob will end up to be about 2 cuft or so @ 32hz off my Nine.1. Only slight negative thing was the ordering-to-shipping time...took almost 3 weeks to get the sub after the order was placed, but im guessing things got slowed down due to SBN, so its no big deal. Ill update with more pics when the box is finished and post my reactions. Thanks again Scott and everyone at Fi!

Most people cross their subs over anywhere from 60-80hz so anything below that is played. Lets say you have a ported box tuned to 32hz, basically you dont want to play anything below that range. So you would set your SSF around 30hz or so. Some people can get by w/o one on a DD set up if they dont drive the sub to hard.

x2 the Nine.1 is a great amp. Very underated.

I think Vladd was referring to this question about "how many WRMS will it be giving out?" from the sub....which doesnt make sense.

Wow man that sucks. Ive had 2 of my older cars broken into as well, but had pretty cheap stuff in them. Sorry for your loss...thats why i always park my car in the garage no matter what.

Ok ill talk to the guy and see what we can come up with next week when i receive the BL.

Would the trunk area need to be sealed off with the box to do that or just fire the box normally into the cabin w/o it sealed?

2002 Accord Coupe (trunk). Seats fold down and rear fill has been removed.

Ive already got the entire trunk walls and floor deadened + the 2 front doors. I still need to do the "hard to get" rear deck area and perhaps figure a way to get some in the tail light area. Ill prob just end up having the box up against the rear seats w/ driver + port firing back. Also i agree totally about big box brands. I just avoid them for the most part. I know JL can make good subs but the price just doesnt warrant the purchase with better alternatives out there esp online. I guess these guys live and die by what they carry in their shops. And as for TS numbers well that obviously isnt something i know a great deal about and was nice to get some info on that. Well im gonna try to get a few more spots deadened in the meantime, and the BL should be shipped out today, if anyone has something they would like to add please do. Thanks for the input all.

Thanks Scott for your reply and email and everyone else in this thread for some great info. I was also wondering about which way to fire the box from my trunk to yield the best results...standard to the rear with seats up(and no rear fill) or perhaps fire into the cabin with the seats down, or something else? This is going into the trunk of an 02 Accord Coupe. If anyone can provide some thought on this that would be great. Thanks again guys.

Thanks for the info and taking the time to post. Im sure the BL will be just fine. I found it kind of funny that the guy i was talking to about the box says he "competes" yet has never heard of RE, eD or even Fi...He asked me how much i paid for the BL and then said "Man i could of got you a JL W6"...at this point i told he well i didnt want a JL lol. Anyways im really looking forward to this driver. I got a new cannon camera recently so ill get some pics and a vid perhaps once i get it all sorted out.
