I am going to be getting an rl-s 12 ... and i need to get an enclosure for it ... i was previously running a rd alpha 15 and im switching over to the rl-s ... i have an 01 focus hatchback and i was thinking a 4 cubed box upfiring now ... amplifier is the issue ... the single 3 ohm limits the amplifier selection so what are most of the people running to it? thanks guys Mike

I have a sundown 1500d and stock electrical right now ... and it probably wont change to much im looking into getting into bassracing ... ive heard a little about it but i want some information on it ... possible box/woofers/etc. i have a focus hatchback so i know its capable of hitting solid numbers with the vehicle... i really have a budget for woofer and box .... around 400 dollars ... if you could alittle help would greatly apprieicated, thank you fellas

jacob... as of right now .. i will using my stock electrical ... 110 stock alt , big 3, and yellow top with 0 gauge all around ... 1 run to the back ... how do u think it will hold up .. since the 1500d isnt a power hungry amplifier?

Jacob, I wanted to commend you on an outstanding product, I recently purchased a sundown 1500d from low-hz.com ... and the amp is absolutely beastly , I had been reading reviews on it for some time now and its everything everyone said it was. keep up the good work Sundown Crew

I have a kx1200.1 and its acting very weird, when the car turns on it makes a clicking noise like it wants to turn on but it doesnt put out ne power ... or turn on ... any ideas what this could be?

oh i agree with the versus thing being useless for the most part ... but i had to do lol ... im just in the market for a single setup .. i have a 2.5 sealed box for a 15 that i love ... i would like to use that ... but i have no power since i think my kx 1200.1 is shot ... just looking for a cheap alternative under 200 bucks shipped ...

Im looking at both of these setups to be ran as a daily driver setup in my second car .... both can be had for about the same price and require the same power ... what do u guys think? both have good reveiws, work well in all types of setups ... im looking to put either one in a 4.5 cu ft box .. tuned to 32hz ... ish depending on what i wanna do with the application .. just looking for some input .. thanks guys

thats what i was thinking ... for now i might keep it in the 2.5 til i can get a new box ... looking at 4.0 tuned to 28-30 hz since the fs is low

I have an ava 15 ... and i wanna know what kind of power i should put to it ... right now i have a kx1200 that i could run to it but im afraid with that power in 2.5 sealed enclosure it might be to much ... any suggestions? maybe a dif amplifier?

Well i just got an absolute powerhouse of a sub .. an Ava 15 do you think itll take an kx1200.1? ne one with expierience wiht it?

ive sealed the 10 w7 in 1.8 cuft upfiring and the sq was stellar but in ur case i wouldnt seal it ... just my .02

^^^ agreeded the l7 has high output capabilities with minimal sq .. but thats not what its designed for .. properly powered .. they are great street beaters .. and can achieve high numbers the 8500 is not a bad woofer ... its more of an average driver .. nothing to special about it sq or spl wise but an average performer

i tried ... but im off campus in a $hitty neighborhood and i dont bump near school ... for that reason ... im just well known for systems and stuff just bad luck i guess

i know man .... it sucks ... my car was parked right outside my house at school ... it just sucks ... maybe the FI boys will give me a discount cuz i lost my woofer to a theif ... nah probably not lol

im so unhappy right now i walked outside to see my hatch door wide open and my entire setup ripped out of the back of it they couldnt get my indash screen cuz its backstrapped ... im not a happy camper ... i kinda wanna go cry

15 Q - first off i just want to commend the Fi team on a brilliant woofer ... I purchased this woofer during xmas and even with high demand for woofers and xmas orders the shipping was tremendous ... less then 7 days .. with build time A+++ on packaging and shipping ... At the moment i had a 2.5 sealed box that i put the q in order to break in ... since it was really cold i didn't have the space to build a new box ... so i put in this one .. great enclosure ... double baffle ... lovely to say the least .. ne ways ... i put her to my kicker kx1200.1 and let her rip ... gains were set to about a quarter of the way up and u can hear the beast being unleashed ... such a musical sub i couldnt get over it ... it hit ever note with a crisp clean response, with stellar spl for an apparent "sq" woofer ... every song i threw at it .. it laughed at the notes and kept singing ... i was so impressed with the output i put her on the tl ... and she did a 140.1 at the kick ... with 1490 watts to her ... and did a 135.6 during lil jon - throw it up ... great numbers ... i love the high excursion ... my grade for this sub is by far an A ... there isnt a thing i would change about it ... its one of the best musical subs .. and ive heard a ton in my lifetime ... this is all n all a stud performer in the car audio industry
