When is a bigger Alt needed
Well, I just got back from a drive. I haven't been able to drive at night because I just got LASIK surgery and my eyes are still recovering. Anyway, the voltage drop is only initial when the fans kick in and there is also no dimming involved. I got two questions 1. with my set-up, do you think this may be hurting my electrical system? 2. should I still do the BIG THREE?

Any AA questions.
I'd really like to know myself. I have a few projects coming up and if I can use AA products that would be the bomb. I'd be more than willing to delay the projects if I knew a good date for the new line of products.

Does someone have any pics of this done to there car. I remember way back that the site did have it. I'm a picture man and that would help a lot. And no I haven't done the Big Three.

I do not have any upgraded Battery for the Truck. Should I start with a deep cycle battery and then a HO alt or vice versa and eventually get both?

When is a bigger Alt needed
Like the topic says. I just installed an electric fan to my truck and have noticed a slight voltage drop when the fans kick in. With the system I have in the truck, I'm wondering If this might be something I need to do. I need some help on this cause I'm pretty clueless with this. Here's what I got in the truck 2 Miniliths 1 Old school RF punch amp (running the rear spakers) 1 Draconia

Budget amp for 8" Sub
It's a single 4ohm VC on the Assasin. I may also try fitting an Alpine Type S 2+2 VC into the space. So far I have a .6 to work with, with some glassing I may be able to bump it up to about .75.

What to look for in an SQ sub
What do you look for in an SQ sub? What t/s parameters and such makes a geat SQ sub. Now I know that SQ is subjective, but most companies make an SQ geared sub. As a buyer, what should we look for in this type of sub?

good mids/highs speakers and componenets
The AA's should blend well with the sub. They can be crossed over pretty low to help have a seemless freq response. A pair on each side would really be kick butt.

Budget amp for 8" Sub
Do you think that the Minilith would be too much amp for that sub and set-up?

Budget amp for 8" Sub
She was thinking around $250. Iwas thinking of using the ZED Mini, but wasn't sure about the wiring configuration . I t didn't seem to OEM friendly, but I spoke with Steve and he said that splitting the signal to get all four RCA would do the trick. I will definetly look into the ORION as well.
-
Minilith
From the man himself... Sure just Y adapt so all four inputs receive signal. Each RCA NOT receiving signal drops the gain of Minilith by 6dB Thought I would post this since I'm sure someone else may run into this situation.

Budget amp for 8" Sub
Looking for a budget amp for a friend to drive an 8" Assasin sub in a .6 sealed enclosure. Any recommendations?
-
Minilith
Is it possible to hook up the minilith using only the sub out RCA's. I tried this once real quick, but did not get any signal. Should I try just splitting the left and right out puts on the RCA to get 4 inputs to the amp. HELP!

New amplifier in OEM system
So I have a friend that wants to replace her amp and sub that came with her 07 Ford Edge. The sub sucks and the amp just doesn't have enough power for her. Is there a way to install an after market amp wihout having to buy a processor like a RF 3sixty or AudioContro DSP? Sorry if this is a silly question, I would like to tell her all her options. Thanks.

New Build for 07 Nissan Altima
Not sure yet. Head Unit. I may try and keep it factory, which means I would need the Cleansweep, 3Sixty, or the AudioControl DQL-8. A single DIN unit would look quite odd in that opening. Amps-I'm gonna try and keep the Zed look going, If not, I may try the Sundown amps that this forum seems to like.

rlp 18, upper frequency extentsion?
Your Correct.

rlp 18, upper frequency extentsion?
i dont know about you. but my idqs can play well over 100hz. i dont have the crossover set that high, but its got a low slope. but 99% of people arent purists. they want the subs to play a bit of upper frequencies. most people dont want to spend $300 on their front stage. thats life. nevermind i even asked. i was just curious about people who owned the 18 and had expierence with box types. I'm aware that many subs can play into that range. I was just curious as to why you would want you sub playing that high. I think your money would be well spent buying a driver that's made for that freq. Just trying to help and also understand whaere your coming from. That's all. Good luck.

New Build for 07 Nissan Altima
Hey everyone, I'm planning on starting my build on my wife's car throughout the summer and want to build a SQ system in her car. This is what I have to work with. I'm skilled in carpentry and know a bit a bout fiberglassing. I'll try and post some pics later to get a visual about the build. FRONT 3-4" front speakers deep into the windshiled (you know the kind) 6.5" door pod openings There is room for a tweet mount above the 6.5". Rear Door 6.5" door pod opening. I could also find a stealthy place for a tweet here also. Rear Deck 6x9" opening I was thinking of installing AA POLY's in the 6.5 openings in the front and rear doors. As far a tweeters, I'm open to suggestions. I do like the Vifa XT25's that Chad uses with his HT setup. I can't mount anything in the A-pillars because the air bags are in my way. I'm not sure what to do, if anything with the opening deep in the windshield. I would like to have the soundstage up around my ears, this is why I mentioned the A-pillar thing. As far as the rear deck, I was thinking of installing a pair of 8" Assasins in a sealed box blowing into the cab. I would like to get at least a 10" in there, but dont' know if I have room for that. I really don't know if I want a box in the trunk so to speak. So what do you guys think? Throw some ideas at me. All your help will be appreciated.

Got burned.
That's precisely what I did, and us victims have banded together to attack with unity... hahaha. Turns out the guy had another account on the site, "selling" 4 Collosuses and an Fi BTL as well!!! Another user was sucked in by that, bringing the total up to 5 of us. Beware of usernames "FiKingPin, BassInYourFace, and celingleung", and email addresses "[email protected]", and "[email protected]" Somebody was able to track the IP to a physical address in Etobicoke, Ontario. The IP was also associated with a few email addresses with names in them that matched the name on the paypal account - last name "Mazza". We think it may be a young guy at his parents' house. One of the the members of our "task force" has emailed all the accounts associated with the IP, outlining the entire situation and the options for dealing with it: By tomorrow, this person must 1) Give us back our money in full or 2) Send us the items we paid for, or 3) Do nothing (and we will involve the authorities). The same member that sent the email is related to a policeman in the area who said he definitely wouldn't mind paying a visit if need be. I grow more optimistic by the hour. Were pulling for you.
