  1. Nice. Got it playing yet?
  2. Thats what im going to do . A yea its not making the noises now but I dont like having to put that isolator on to get rid of it
  3. Well I hooked up an old ground isolator to the sub amp rcas and there is not a peep coming through the mids and highs . . I guess im not understanding something . I dont get why the sub amp would effect the mids and highs amps . There was no sounds coming through the subs just the mids and highs and the sound would go away when I took the rcas out of just the sub amp
  4. Ill check all the grounds . Didnt mess with any grounds though . Just added another run of power and ground from rear batt to the ampere
  5. Trying to get some ideas on what could have caused this . . Installed 2 ppi 900.4s and a taramp 10kw in a vehicle yesterday and tested everything and every this dead quiet. Not a bit of any noise. Later last night we installed a ampere 9k in the vehicle and now im getting sounds through the mids and highs . . Only thing that was done was taking out the taramp, putting in the ampere and installing a new volt meter . . Just trying to get some ideas befor I go into the shop today on What could have cause this when just changing the sub amp
  6. Nice equipment man . Whats the specs of that enclosure?
  7. Have you tried to free air it to see if you can get a closer look where the sound is coming from?
  8. Like 80 to somewhere in the lower 100s+ mainly . Its just them un mids just dont really do much under 200 hz . . He is not opposed to changing the 6.5s but just not at the moment . Eventually he wants me to fiberglass some enclosures in the doors for the mids but wants to wait till he has some extra door panels to experiment with. . Subs are strong from like 25 to the higher 40s. . And mids are "ok" over 200 or so . . Its a newer extended escalade by the way
  9. Well got a customer wanting to do 2 10s in a center console of an suv mainly for midbass . What iv done already in it is 2 sp4 18s on an ampere 9k . . 4 crescendo 6.5 neos (one in each door) and a supertweeter in each door . 2 ppi 900.4s (one for mids and one for tweets) dual alts. Northstar batts and lots of 1/0 . . . Just looking at any recommendations on what 10s and where to go about tuning the enclosure. . Iv just never had to build something just for midbass befor . . He was wanting to get the crescendo neo 10 because he has the 6.5s in the doors but not sure about that
  10. i just use a cheap like 5 amp power supply from parts express. It works fine for just a head unit
  11. Dam not to far at all . Im on an army base is Virginia . Like 30 mins from the white house. Pretty cool down here besides the traffic
  12. Anyone in the Virginia/dc area? Going to be visiting family in Virginia real close to dc tomorrow for about a week . Just seeing if anyone is around that area . Always like to get demos and meet people that are into audio
  13. Really nice! . Cant wait till more power is out
  14. Happy birthday!!
  15. I defiantly understand about how people feel about there bikes . But this guy is a friend and i was wanting to work on it to get a little comfortable working on motorcycles befor I would actually do a random persons
  16. I would never refer anyone to any shops around me . There some of the shittyest shops Iv ever seen
  17. Ill be fine with the installation part. Just didnt know if there is some decent speakers and amps that will work better than others for a bike. . . Just looking quick I seen some like kits that are like 400+ . . And from my experience with car audio usually kits and sets of shit made for things are usually shitty compared to putting it together your self so I didnt want to just tell him to buy some harley speaker kit and have me install it . I want him to get the best he can for his money
  18. Im not worried about messing up the bike. Just dont know about the audio for it/if its any different than a car . . I have a shop and have done audio for like 15 years. Just have never worked on the audio of a bike
  19. Has anyone had any experience doing any audio on a motorcycle? . Going to be doing an install on an 04 roadglide . Just seeing if anyone has any recommendations or anything since I have not messed with a motorcycle yet . . There is a stock head unit and 2 speakers . Customer wants to try to keep the head unit and replace the stock speakers and maybe add a couple more speakers and maybe amp them. . Hes not a big audio guy so im sure wont need crazy quality . Just want to be able to hear clear music when on the highway and shit
  20. Not no recent but got a ppi a200.2 and a600.2 in my collection . . And some early 90s Sherwood amp
  21. Iv usually liked how it sounds with sub up and port back in suv's . But in sure it wouldnt be much different with sub and port back . . . I would personally go with the gcon
  22. I would go with the evil personally but I woundnt think there would be a huge difference
  23. Run each sub in series and then either each sub to each input or the subs together to one of the inputs . its not a 2 chan it just has 2 inputs
  24. Hell yea man. . Cant wait to see how you get them 2 in your trunk
