  1. still to be put in... already in
  2. well 55x2 is nothing for a sub... its something for speakers.
  3. Wow. really? Thats crazy. If thats truly the RMS then yea do it up.
  4. he mentioned a pair of kicker 6.5s.... def not! lol
  5. Ok you mentioned a lot of stuff there. Certainly you don't want to put a 1000 watt amp on your door speakers
  6. Def the fronts. Most will say that the rears are not necessary at all but i feel they add a nice balance, atleast in my truck. As for wiring them, do you know if your amp is capable of accepting high level inputs? High level inputs are speaker level inputs. it allows you to put an already amplified signal from the head unit into the amp. You wire it from the speaker outputs on your headunit. If your not sure, post what amp it is that you have and this will help. Also what head unit. Depending on your head unit, adding an amp thats 40w RMS may offer no improvement.
  7. So i tried to play a youtube video and then one i recorded on the iphone. Neither worked. What could be wrong? I have the proper cable from pioneer. Its an Iphone 4 on iOS 5.0
  8. Order #3127 10" ICON looks like a beast! Cant wait to build my box and hear it!
  9. And thats what i get for posting late at night. I didnt read it too well. But it could have been done that way. One pair of wires coming off the negative side from the terminal, one goes to the positive on one VC of each sub and the other goes to the negative to the other VC of each sub. Then just connect the left over positive and negative. I was trying to avoid using another terminal by just stack ring terminals at the cup, your right i was thinking parallel not realizing what i was reading at all.
  10. Y not just use two lengths of wire (one for each VC) from the back of the terminal cup to the VCs.
  11. I have JL C2 6.5 components in the front and coax in the rear of my truck. Running off a JL JX 360 amp. I also have an SSA ICON 10 and sundown sax-1200 to power it. I was wondering where i should set the high pass filter for the speakers and the low pass filter for the sub?
  12. On the website under enclosure recommendations it says optimal for ported it says 1.5^ft and then the free enclosure designs it shows the optimal one is 1.35^ft. Sooo whats actually recommended?
  13. yea i know, pocket is hurtin now tho. so i figured it couldnt hurt to ask about it. not a huge deal. Itching to get that sub and build my box!
  14. What size wire can they accept?
  15. i came here because of your MASSIVE reputation at CA.com. I was gonna get an SA-10....but that ICON-10 was so tempting i couldnt resist after someone told me to check it out.
  16. WIsh i knew about this last week when i ordered!
  17. In the about section thats what it says.My order says awaiting shipment, what does that mean? Awaiting shipment means that your order has been processed and will be shipping out very soon or your item is in the build process. also on the product page it says to allow 7-14 days for build time.
  18. I just ordered an Icon 10 last week. (which im really excited about) While checking my order status i came to find that during the phase awaiting shipment, that meant my sub was actually being built as i ordered it. This is new to me as the last time i ordered subs they were just shipped right to me off the shelf. I kind of like that my sub was made as i ordered it. Then i got curious as to the build process and after searching and not finding anything im wondering if anyone knows of a video or maybe a set of pictures that kind of gives you an idea of the build process of the actual subwoofer from start to finish. Im assuming there are certain parts they would want to leave out and i can understand that, but i was just curious if there was anything out there.
  19. I must say i do Love your choice in rides. I'll have to look for that thread when I'm at the comp
  20. Sorry for the resurrection so to speak. Not many silverado builds where people actually build their own boxes for under the seat. Didnt think it was too bad Cus your last post was nov. thanks for the info
  21. Great build! u do a seat lift? Can you tell me the height in the rear and front of the box? And the bottom depth? I'm trying to plan my box and it's really difficult without the seats being there.
