y 1.6 cubes the subs only need .5 each? if you do a box that is 24" wide 16" high and 12" deep with a 12" long port that is 1.5" wide and 32" deep (wrap it around the box) you will be tuned to 31-32 hertz which is the recommened spec for these subs

how much would a 1 cube box for two sundown sa8 with black carpet and plex glass face plate?

this is a really crazy question but is it possible to get re-cones for the new sa-8 v2 in diffrenet colors? i have had a few people ask me this and i told them i would have to ask. thanks,

any thing over tuned over 35 hertz for these subs are a bad idea just saying but i have two single boxes made and each box is .5 cubes after displacement bt the boxes are 12" wide 12" deep and 16" with a 12" wide port 2" high and the port is wrapped around the whole box i don't remember the exact mesurments bt its tuned at 32 hertz

im building a box for them same subs my box is .5 cubic feet after port and sub displacement and is tuned to 31 herts its a split box its 27in long 12 deep 16 high and has a larg port area i have yet to build it tho

if you were to use them for mid bass i dont really see a problem bt these lil monsters weight 25lbs a reace it would have to be a beefy door panel and thats not counting that the total unit is around 7.5 inches mounting dept if you would do it i would really like to see it tho

its a complete new set up. me and two of my buddies has the same car one car getting 2 sa8 one of the others is getting 4 and the last car is getting 8 its a big show and shine thing and the car with the 8 subs will be a compition car only its o.going to take a while to finsh them all bt it will be worth it

the subs are rated at 500 rms and its never gave me a max i have seen guy put 1000 rms to these subs with no problem you just have to set the amp right but me looking for an amp i found that there are more 1200 watt amp than 1000 watt amps so in my eyes its easyer to get a 1200 than a 1000

yea i ordered daul 4 ohm subs if i wire the in parellel the show a 1 ohm load and i want to run them at 600 rms so that would mean i need a 1200 watt rms amp that has true watts

im looking to spend no more than 300 on an amp i really want a sundown amp but even used they are out of my price range. i can also get a rockford amp bt i dont care for them i always had trouble with thim i want at least a 1200 watt amp for the subs to be at 600 rms to each one at 1 ohm

the amp will be running 2 sundown audio sa-8v2 when i get then on a stable 14.4 volt system big 3 done stock alt and stock battery for now till i get the xs power and all 0 gauge wire with and an eq and the other odds and ends

i can get two jl audio 500.1 slashes one has high frequency noise and the other has a blown channel bt they both power up fine i can get them for $120 is it worth me getting them fixed? and do you know what could possibaly be wrong?

they are univeral you can buy them at any auto part store they just twist in between the coils in the spring

my bad i read it wrong you should pull the shock out and change it bc those knuckles mess up your springs main when u have a lot of weight on them they good just to raise the spring but bad when u add weight i personal dont like them i have changed to many spring because these lil things messed them up

use helper spring they get added to the leaf spring and u can also use lift shackles bt if you us shackles it puts a bigger stress on you leaf sping i would use a helper leaf

any one know any thing new on the new stock of sundown audio sa-8v2? the last i heard they would be in around april 10. i cant wait for them to come in and im just wondering if there is any updates.

its easy if you have the right tools its as hard as u make it if u design a crazy box it will be crazy hard if its simple its easy you just have to make sure you do it right because the box is every thing you can have the best sub and best amp bt with a crappy box it will sound crappy but its fairly easy to do it your self

if you wanna do some thing crazy you can do like i seen a guy took headliner glue in a spray can and sprayed the box then put playing cards on it then polyurathan or how ever you spell it it came out clean it was real shiny

my truck right now has a custom box for 2 re audio se 15 and the box is split for two cewin vega 10 up top with a 1000 rockford on the 15 and 500 rockford on the 10 and the box also is split for 6 6x9 on a 800.4 sony its wall in a 97 ford f150 step side and im still adding

i cant get any pics at the moment because im at work but i did fix my problem. i used diffrent size mdf to make it work the top of the port is 1/2 board and the bottom is 3/4 and the center (where the air will flow) is 3/4 from top to bottom which is alot of room bc the port is 10.5 wide. the box is for two of the new sa-8v2 each sub is split from the other and are in about .6 cubic feet each tuned to 32 hertz on 600 rms watts a peace. im hoping to be in the 130 dbs with this small box but im not getting my hope up yet

oh and im sorry i cant spell.spelling and reading gives me trouble but i can work wonders with numbers and do amazing things with my hands
