Can i ask why you put it as close as you can to the battery? like what does that do for you having it that close to the battery? If you put the fuse 3 foot down line from the battery, the 3 feet from the battery to the fuse is unprotected. If you put it close to the battery, it minimizes the amount of wire unprotected. Example you ask? I was young and didn't know any better. I found a perfect spot to mount my inline fuse holder on the firewall. Well, the wire going down the fender melted and dead shorted to the body and smoked the wire. Luckily it didn't blow up the battery. I think most MFG's I've seen spec it to be within 18" of the battery. I just shoot for as close to the battery as I can get. okay i was just curious because i have mine the whole way up by my amp. but i dont have it any where it can get hot and melt. so thats good. it was a more convient spot that we found plus the wire im running isnt very flexible

The sound system is killer. diggin the stuff up front thoes rockfords are sick. but the build overall looks absolutely amazing and im extremely jealous. it doesn't have to stay around 500 but somewhere close would be nice. i wanna put the rms power to it. but i was just seeing what offers i could get i dont need to buy it right now nor do i have the money too.

Im looking at getting 2 XCON 18's and im looking for a bigger amp need a 3500w i like the saz so if i can get one for a good price why not if there is a referb i can get for something around 5-700 bucks thatd be good

Okay guys i need help. I am fixing my bike then selling it. okay i need to know what you people think i should do. I am gonna have about 2300 dollars. To either put into subs or buy a new bike. idk what to do i love motocross and i love subs but motocross is such an expensive hobby (not saying sound systems is either) but i dont know if i should just give that up and sink my money into my system or if i should get a new bike and pursue motocross. i love them both so much and its such a hard decision for me. but if i do end up sinking my money into a sound system im going all out selling my gcon and getting nasty with the system. bigger subs or ill just get more that 4 gcons total.

Picked up a seccond job today!

Going to do two 3500 strapped after chatting with a few peeps. Looks like Im getting talked into the z cons as well. What mayhem are you taking about? I have 11k saved for this surely I can come in under that. My problem with work rright now will be finding time to do it. WOOP You are gonna be getting nasty even when you dont want to and then when someone asks if there is more you can give them even more nasty along with some good sound quality!

Heck with it man what he wants is what he wants he will be pretty happy with 2 18s runnin a 5500 even tho you wont really need it unless your going with something bigger than the XCON

I also apologize nem doesnt run the incriminator audio upfront he has 2 AA 7'' with polk tweeters

Indeed it would i got 1 ssa gcon and it gets pretty nasty for a 750w 15'' in a cargo van especially that i can hit a 140 with it but still sound excellent!

okay then get nasty with some XCON 18's haha if your going for zcon im not sure what the zcons would do for you but i know my uncle is running incriminator comp up front and in the rear doors with a pair of xcon 18s and if you wanna hear sound quality dear god let me just tell you that thing sounds beautiful.

Haha yeah Cr rings a bell but nothing else haha. but i think i am gonna go with 2 and uncle nem said that its gonna be almost impossible to run 3 because of coil configuration. so i dunno maybe ill go 2 then 2 more later we will see! (:
