you don't happen to have measurements for the length of those right off hand, do ya? i may just go with the 3xlt since everything i own shrinks lol Are the prices different for tall sizes?

subs and rca's were not hooked up..i hooked up just power grounds and remote and turned it on.

i'm sure there's no warranty on it anyways, i'll be sending it to d-r sometime next week... pic is kind of blurry but if you look to the left of the pic where that chrome bar lookin thing is you can see some burntness, thats the only thing i could physically see that was damaged

ok so i bought a 40.1 from a guy on ca.com about a week and a half ago.. today is the first day i actually took the amp out of the box and hooked it up. as soon as i got everything hooked up, i triple checked everything before hooking the power wir(s) to the battery, everything was correct so i turn the key and POP there went the amp...it does that everytime i turn the key, the power light will come on for about a 1/2 sec then it pops and goes into protect. it pops on the end with the rca input's, i have NEVER had this happen to me so i'm curious what might of happend here. Anyone have any ideas? ALso, where is the best place to get this fixed?

just got a 40.1 and am wanting to run it @ 1/2 ohm...this will be a daily/bass race set up. I'm running a 200 amp h.o. alt, optima yellow top under the hood, and 3 of the older hc 2200's...will this be ok? installing it tomorrow but wanted to get some input first.

any of these still left?

^^actually i did that before i got an h-0 alt and batts, the hk was ran off stock electrical... i also burped that 150@ 36hz box was tuned to like 29 or 30hz... i've got a new enclosure under construction hopefully it'll do some good...it's a tad bit bigger, but i think it will work out ok, we will see. as far as power goes, like nick said (2) 2200's should be plenty...i've seen better numbers with alot less power(in my own truck) also there's guys on here doing 150's from there nightshades with a single 3000d.. keep the feed back coming guys, i need all the advice i can get!

thanks for all the feedback!! and thank you jacob for chiming in! i'm gonna start doing work tommorrow on my day off and see what happens, i know it's the box because it's a ton louder on music then burping...kinda strange but when i burped it, it didn't sound like the same set-up it actually sounded quiter, i was about to throw in some jeezy and use that as a burp and see if the score changed lol.. then i demoed it for a few ppl and they tooo were like "dam is this the same set up? cuz it absolutey slams!!" so that was some good feed back for sure.

db drag, term-lab sealed on the dash 150+ is my goal with this set-up while keeping it a daily beater, i know it's in there somewhere..

4 4" full length aero ports Box is setup subs up ports back, about 4-5 inches from back hatch. it's also a 2 door blazer

thats probably one of my problems, but i did a 145 flat a while back with 2 comp vr 15's running off ed nine.1 i peaked at 39hz with that so you can see why i'm dissapointed...i go from 1200wrms to 4000wrms and my score is the same with better equipment. i'll try tuning a little higher and see what that does. If that doesn't help much i'll re-do the box, hopefully someone that has NS 15's and having good results wil chime in on an enclosure recomendation..

a 145 is a decent score, but definitely not where i wanna be. My box is right around 6 cubes @ 32hz

well went to a show today, and somehow only managed a 145.3 @ 36hz with the equipment in sig. I'm thinking it's in the enclosure. Can someone throw me some dimensions for an optimal box for these? I have plenty of room to work with so thats not an issue. I've seen posts where people are doin a 150+ with these subs and less power and still listening to it daily so i now a big number is in them, just need a different box.

Not looking for huge numbers. This is primarily a bassrace/daily set-up

would tuning around 32-33hz be ok?

i actually have a little more then 24" deep available, if i did a full 24" deep that keeps the back of the box about 4.5" awau from the hatch which is as close as i wanna go. sorry for the confusion. as far as tuning i'd like to be somwhere around 33-36hz. With that being said, what dimensions would work, keeping the ports internal? I saw a vid of yours wangin so i'm glad you chimed in to help!

Ok i'm trying to get down to around 6-6.5 cubes net. but the dimensions i came up with won't work because the subs will be basically sitting on the ports. I've went over so many different dimensions and they're all coming out to around 7-7.5 cubes after port and sub. I wanna do subs up ports back, will be using 4 4" full length aero's. i've got a max of 24" high 37" wide and 24" deep to work with. Someone give me a hand, as i want to start this build tomorrow. If it matters this will be for straight daily and bass race. Also, it will be going in a 2001 2dr. blazer Thanks

hello, just trying to get some input, use to bass race a few years back, then "lost" all my stuff, so i'm now finally getting back into it. This will be strictly a dd set-up/bass racer. Tell me what you think, input is much appreciated. My set-up consists of the following: 2001 Chevy blazer Alpine 9857 200amp HO alt Big 3 done in 1/0 optima yellow top under the hood (3) kinetik 2400's in the back (2)Fully loaded BTL 15's (2)Audioque 2200d's strapped at 2 ohms 9.5 cubic ft. net crx style using 3 6" aero ports tuned around 34hz Does this sound like a good setup? Is the box a good size?? What kind of numbers can i expect with this set-up??? Thanks in advance, Daniel

wanting to try some "different" subs. I've read alot of great reviews on these. Each sub will have approx. 900 watts rms. This will be a daily vehicle so tuned around 30-35hz. I do compete in db drag but mainly bass race. Vehicle will be a 2001 2 door blazer. Thanks in advance.
