  1. I tried a bigger box, but it stays the same.
  2. Any type of box that I design always comes out to peak around 37hz with the Icon. Is there a way to actually drop it down to 33hz?
  3. I am peaking around 37hz according to WinISD. I do know you cant always trust that because it doesn't know car accustics.
  4. I got a design from RAM-Design. Here is what it looks like in Torres. I haven't really designed a box for myself yet, I'm still learning about box designing.
  5. Dimensions: 30w x 15h x 17d 2.25 ft3 tuned to 32hz
  6. That's also why I was wondering if aluminum coils would help give it more power. But I've been thinking about saving up for an AQ 12" or even an FI BTL N2 12".
  7. I have an MB.Quart Onx1.1500d powering it. It's rated at 1500 rms at 1 ohm, which is what it's wired at. I doubt the amp is giving that power, but I would like to give it around 2k-2.5k.
  8. What do you mean by thermal limits? Like more power handling or cooling? I'm just trying to upgrade my system at the moment. I'm trying to get more power without buying a whole new sub. lol
  9. Alright, thank you for the information! Is there anyway to get an Icon recone with an aluminum coil? and would it make a difference? More power?
  10. Okay, I was just curious. I noticed the Icon uses a copper coil while the Xcon uses an aluminum coil.
  11. Is this possible?
  12. I've got a 130 amp alt in my car and before I put an XS Power battery in the back I'd drop below 13.0 volts but with the battery the lowest its dropped has been 13.3. I'm running an MB.Quart Onx1500.1d with an SSA Icon. I also don't have as much power as you will be, but my next build I plan on having 2500 watt amp in the back.
  13. Doesn't impedance change after box rise? So you would really never know what the sub is getting.
  14. Bad grounds can cause the amp to get hot.
  15. I have experience with the Type-S' and I don't think they are that good. I have Type-R 6x8s and they sound much better than the Type-S'.
  16. The battery under the hood is maybe 9 months old. Are Yellow Tops as good as I read or are there better for the same buck?
  17. So I plan on getting a battery for in the back soon and I was curious as to if it will hurt my battery in the front by getting an AGM for in the back. Also do I have to go with something that is in the range of power my amps are taking or can I go with something along the lines of a XS Power D545? Roughly with both amps I'll be in the range of over 1800-2200watts rated.
  18. Alright sounds good. Always trying to learn.
  19. Actual power. I've seen what rated is. I've read people saying 900 at 3.1 ohms.
  20. Have you done any alts for this car? Would possibly like to order one.
  21. Has anyone clamped this amp before? I already has the amp, and his is what I plan on using to power my Icon when I get it.
  22. Makes sense. I totally agree on overhead is a bitch.
  23. Do you build the subwoofer when the customers buys one or do you have then in stock most of the time?
