I want to build another box though that will bring out the most sq of this woofer. What do you guys suggest? sealed or ported tuned low

Hey i just got my 12" icon D1 in last week and i must say i like it! It's in a 2.2cuft box tuned to 32hz powered by a jbl gto1201.1(1100rms rated) with 0 gauge knu wiring. It slams the lows like crazy. My last setup was a pioneer 3004spl in a 1.75cube box tuned to 32hz. Now the icon is classified as a sq woofer but it blows the pioneer out of the water in both sq and spl. I love how i can turn down the gains and lpf if i want some smooth clean bass and then set my gains to 40hz @ -6db and have bass that literally rattles my rearview mirror right off. I am very impressed in my purchase and for 263 dollars shipped to my door with a sticker lol you can't go wrong. Although i noticed some rock songs sound a little sloppy and a little to rumbly, but i think it's most likely my cd's since i have them in data format and have cheap rcas. Next week im ordering some rca's to see if thats the problem. I'll have pics up when i get home.

Sounds good to me, im installing my pg rsd6.5cs when i get out of work today and as soon as my check clears next week im going to be buying the icon.

Anybody have an idea how the 12" icon will sound for rock in and enclosure tuned this high or have any suggestions for an enclosure/tunning made for rock/metal. I read this woofer gets real low but was wondering if i could build another enclosure to swap out just for rock and metal.

My trunk hieght is only 13inches and that would mean i would have to build a whole new box and make it slanted which im not looking to do lol. What 12's that can handle 1200 watts, are low end monster, and have some good output. My budget is 350(very max)

So i can't do a pair of tens either? The only reason i was going to do a pair of 10s or 12s was because of having more cone area. I guess im going to have to get a single 12 then

I have about 1200 watts to work with and 1.1 cu.ft. of airspace per woofer. I'm looking for 2 12's that will do great with minimum airspace. My box is 2.2cu.ft. tuned to 32hz and i am not going to go with a one sub setup simply because of the cone area and i was wondering what you guys suggest.

Alright i have way to many choices: the ssds rli heard some good stuff on the audioque SD2.5 dd1500 i was considering the ed 110v.2 but noone on ca.com really talks about this subwoofer timult and brahma 10s TC-7's RE SE Basically i need you guys to tell me which ones out of these choices not to consider since all the responseds i get are they are all good subs. I want to get real loud and have some good sq.

What do you guys recommend. Box is 2.2 cu.ft. tuned to 32hz. Budget max is $320 for both. Want some 10's that get real low and have lot of output.

Alright well then im gunna go with the Q, but the question about which amp to buy was never answered. What amp out of those would you use to power it? and are they all around the same efficiency?

so should i get the fiq or the fissd with copper coil and bp power? i was thinking i might as well get the q beucase it can handle more if i decide to upgrade, has a more xmax, and the price is so close y not.

I thought about that, i was thinking about getting the ssd with copper coils and bp power. But i have a few questions i need to get cleared up, for an example say i have a true 1000watts going into the q and a true 1000watts going into the ssd with copper coils and bp power which one would be louder? and what one would sound better? Also, would the q take more watts to get moving..causing a decrease from getting loud? where the ssd isn't needing as much watts to get moving therefore more output?
