nadcicle's 97 Suburban rebuild
Well the time has come for me to go ahead and show some progress with the truck. This thing has been through hell and back with me from repairing the lower intake manifold to having its fair share of abuse from low tuning. The first setup consisted of 3 18's on 2 AQ 2200's strapped with a single XS D3100 in the back for support. Let's just say this didn't work and had me reconing the subs. Best recorded score of the 3 18's before blowing them. Sadly, I bought an alternator that was actually sitting in the backseat at the time I was giving a demo and blew the subs. Unfortunate for me, it was a fuckin Tenney that didn't work! It looked nice and legit though... After learning my lesson I had a holdover system that consisted of 4 12" Planet audio BB2 series on my strapped AQ2200's once again. This setup actually gave me my best score to date with a 52 at the headrest which I didn't take seriously since it was a burp box and never recorded it. Also, I never did manage to make a show before reconing my 18's and getting a 4th one as seen below. Well, This enclosure was originally intended for only 3 of the 18's since its net was only around 17 so it was time to build yet another enclosure. Yah, so adding the 4th sub actually dropped the frequency response and the score as well. I never got a good picture, but after displacement and everything I calculated right at 21 cubes here for the new enclosure. This was built to be super flat and boy did it play pretty much anything and sound awesome doing it. So that leaves me where I am today. I will go ahead and let the cat out of the bag and show my plans. I'm sure to forget something here, but here we go. Everybody likes pictures so I will let those do the talking. New enclosure: Batts: Amps, there are 2: Just a few Ethos : Few of these tiny things: About 8 of these: 6 of these... Hey they're not super tweeters dammit!: Oh, and a pair of these: Mechman Elite Was told the peak number was actually 386 in their record book. I felt it might have been a fib: I'll be sure to add more as it comes.

Swift's 2012 F250
Swift, Getting that many more batts and all you should look in to getting what I am going to get. It's still mountable, but you get a remote with it. http://4xspower.com/shop/chargers/psc60/ 60 amps with 3 charge modes and 3 voltages. Sounds like a winner to me.

Might Finally Install A Stereo...
Like the car, almost got one myself but ended up with a 96 caprice interceptor instead. I still wish I would have went with the Roadmaster for the amenities, but that was a while back and I sold the caprice anyways.

STIPULATIONS FOR TEAM DSS
Definitely good news. I'm looking forward to having DSS go all the way to world finals with me this year and do better than last years world final results!

Alma Gates memorial truck. DSS inside
It's a great idea, and a great build. A tribute build does not have to be an exact replica build.Hats of you you and Q for helping these guys get the ball moving with this project. One thing I would love to see again is that bad ass chain driven alternator setup !!!my teammate has the JBL Bronco. He's working on it. It will be at slamology in the XS power booth. I remember seeing it last year, but I dont remember it ever getting any play time. One thing I remember Alma for was that she liked playing the thing when people asked. Any chance it will be playing?

Team IAK shirt order now open!!!! Show your Support
These shirts will look amazing with a beer in my hand during slamology! Wait, I know what you're thinking. Made no sense, right? BS, it makes perfect sense cause IAK dammit!

14.9v For Daily or For Comps Only?
I charge right at 14.8-15.0 without issue. Takes about 25-30 miles before I get down to 14.8 and by then I'm at work. I wouldn't turn it up and leave it at 15v nonstop by any means though. Charging higher causes sulfation at a much higher rate from all of the information that manufacturers provide.

Slight delay on new orders
Getting anxious. I'm sure you're getting close though. Q, I remember you saying something in the past about the thought of doing dual leads on the subs before. Any chance you were going to go ahead with that idea?

full range amp that can handle a 1.3 ohm load
Op seems to be looking for Full Range. I believe Brazilian would be it for the needs. Taramps have been making the rounds as of lately and do so at a decent price point. They do in fact make some 1 ohm multi channel amps that meet and exceed your needs @ 1 ohm. http://taramps.com.br/en/site/?p=produto&id=148

Amps for sale Sonido Mask ZX-1500's
These are very well known as the Audiopipe APCL 15001d. Biggest difference is the upgrade in Power/ground being 0 gauge. These amps are $199 so please troll elsewhere. Hell, for that matter your HT subs you're using in your sig were not long ago "unknown" brand. Just remember that.

JL Clean sweep vs RF 360.3
Quite honestly this is a apples to oranges kind of question. These are 2 completely different classes of items and I think you should do a little more research in to both before making any abrupt decisions. From my understanding you just want to take your high level inputs and make them as flat as possible and turn them in to rca outs?

And not just because that's what the engine did!Could be a first... Lol, it's a 4.0 thang. Jeep guys always make fun of Ford for it. The 4.0 had an issue with timing chains mainly which made the explorer get dubbed the "exploder" to begin with since jumping a couple teeth could make the engine basically in a term "explode" causing valves and rods to go bent and break everywhere. I have owned a 97 explorer, although it was a 5.0 model 302. To me a car is a car and is only as good as how well you take care of it. I show no favortism towards brands, but I will throw a joke once in a while against others nonchalantly. I know this will be loud. If not Senchez knows I'll give him crap about it so it better be. Ffs, my apologies. I was drinking last night.

setting gain with dmm car on or off?
Much better than trap music! If this don't help with tuning you're lost. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuW53xh-gj8

OME Head unit w/ RF 360.3
IF you can't find one then easiest solution is to buy an aftermarket harness then go to a junkyard and cut out one from another of the same kind and make your own. Then it'll be plug and play.
