  1. the 1500, 1800 and 3000 are all the same type of board. The 3500 is more expensive but is 18v stable!
  2. Noticed there hasn't been a lot of traffic here lately... Let me get this out of the way before i go on about other news- Everybody who's name is currently in the group buy is LOCKED in! If you think you will not be able to pay, PM me IMMEDIATELY! OK, now onto other news- For those who compete in MECA will like this- I'll be making "special" mic stands soon not seen before for MECA competitors. For those who meter yourself will definitely appreciate these. The stand will be the legal headrest stand but a LOT better than what MECA sells people The stands will be legal headrest stand with an adapter to put on the side of the meter base to accurately place stand 20" from windshield without tape measure. But that's not it.... For those who compete in driveby will love this! Along with this stand, comes an even BIGGER adapter for this stand... A 54" folding arm adapter will mount to the base of this stand and locked into place with plugs to do driveby metering all with the same stand! The driveby adapter will also come with it's own adapter to measure 6 ft from passenger window for proper placing. No tools, no tape measure, no glue, no screws, nothing... And this stand will sell for the cheap At this time, the stands will be available after thr group buy is over but will NOT ship with the meters. Anyone interested, just let me or phi know.
  3. with a 350A alt, a single d3100 should do fine even with both amps. The alt should take care of all or most of the load so you wouldnt need a large reserve.
  4. Oh.. ok, i see what you're saying.
  5. why r u getting a line driver for? I ran 6 amps off the same preout and never used a line driver and did fine.
  6. there is no rule of thumb for spl. IT's all about about how much LENGTH you have available to get the right tuning with what port area u can fit. Do NOT use port calculators when tuning for spl as they will not help. If u can fit 600sqin with the right length then go for it. If the port needs to be longer than physically capable, then u gotta start plugging parts of the port up to decrease port area.
  7. 150A for 1500, 100A for 1000
  8. you should fuse to the size of what wire u are using. If the amp has no onboard fusing, then the fuse next to the amp needs to be for the amp, not the wire. So 1000w with no onboard fusing- 100A, 1500w with no onboard fusing- 150A. If they got onboard fusing, using 1/0 needs at least 250A per fuse block.
  9. alt to bat fuse- fuse the wire so a 1/0 cable needs at least a 250a fuse.
  10. when it comes to Knukonceptz, get their wire and that's it, no hard parts.
  11. I Bought These For My Setup , Yet To Be Installed Tho They Seemed Good Whats Bad About Them? for one, the connections are shit. they are a bitch to tighten but then onto performance- they have a VERY HIGH resistance problem. When i was using a HO alt, they would get REAL hot which means resistance issues inside the terminals.
  12. 1 amp 1 big 3 addition wire 1 factory wiring (8awg probably) u can get these- Tsunami TSBT-PN (tsbtpn) - Battery Terminals - Sonic Electronix but going with terminals that require terminals on the wire would be cheaper.
  13. tell me all and how many size of wire u need to run to a terminal?
  14. Do not buy those! u will literally want to kill somebody... they are the worst terminals i've ever used in my life.. I could smack the guy who made them and thought they were good, i'm not lying. Piece of crap... I'd rather own some boss audio subs than to have had those.
  15. looks like you got a stout electrical bank for what power you will be running. Let me give you a tip when running that many batts. Before your initial use of a battery bank, get an AGM charger and charge each battery up completely. Once they are all connected, about once a week, just check the voltage of your battery bank before you start it up. If the voltage for those batteries are at 12.6-12.7v, u need to throw them back on a charger or you will be risking alt life. All it takes is for 1 battery to drain down lower than the rest for whatever reason and the whole group is suffering. I don't wanna see all that money get wasted so keep a tab on em.
  16. get a dmm and measure voltage at the amps terminals with all speaker wires disconnected. If it's still in protect, contact sundown.
  17. r u looking for just 12s? I'm sellin 3 of my DC Audio Level 4 15s right now... All Dual 1 ohm.

  23. my sanction, MECA, uses a Termlab... I own a termlab and will be switching to this meter because the Termlab is too much of a hassle to drag out all the time and fragile at that. It is calibrated to be within 0.1db accurate as the termlab all the way up to 175db and as low as 120db. You can get people from anywhere you want and they will still count towards the total group buy quota. But, if they are non-domestic, they must add a $55 shipping fee on top of the current group buy quota pricing for their pricing. This shipping fee should not increase, in fact, it may even be lowered but we won't know for sure until after the group buy is over. Also, ANYBODY you may find that wants one of these meters domestic or non-domestic, we need some sort of contact information from them if they do not have an account here on SSA. We will need at the minimum their email address.
  24. We are about to allow Anyone in the world to place an order for one of these meters VERY Soon! Shipping prices will, of course, go up but we will be able to ship to Alaska, Hawaii and any other country with the extra shipping fee tacked onto. Estimated additional shipping fee will be $55 per non-domestic order. Any non-domestic order will NOT effect domestic shipping costs. For prices, look back and add $55 to the current group buy quota to know your non-domestic price you will need to pay to have it shipped to your door. B-chi, I will be PM-ing you soon to work out a deal on your special order request. Again, this price is an estimate. If we can save money on your location then we will lower the cost to your door.
