  1. The next set of posts is his first sexual experience so id think twice about that. Haha. But yea. Come on pat! We need the specsl
  2. They make multi position strips called barrier or terminal strips. You must supply your own in-line fusing but we are talking dollars.. almost free. Also, for fans, stick with what is made for the car, not for computers. Many pc electronics have STRICT 12v tolerances and bumping them up to the 14s will likely kill most products. Not all pc fans are as strict but if they do not tell you the actual working range, assume it will not work in a vehicle.
  3. It's called cabin gain. If your box has a flat response, it won't past the ~60hz range due to inefficient gains in the environment.
  4. Lmao.. get that empty bottle shit outta here, lol
  5. Could you please not put that on the outside. Far too many thefts and careless activities may go on with this info on the outside.
  6. What will the warranty cover?

  8. How did you have the same setup and same amp for 7 months when you said you just got a new amp from kicker yesterday... Your story is void.
  9. We had to physically add an L because the Torres calculator is using improper calculations to determine port tuning, port length and port displacement. I proved it by designing a straight port in that software with plenty of space in the rear of the enclosure and it calculated port displacement to be 0.8cuft larger for no reason whatsoever. So, we had to use winisd since winisd bases measurements on NET only versus Torres bases everything on gross which is not ideal. And swift- the 3" shown before the port is a general acoustical rule which states when using a slot port, add half the width of the port to the acoustical length. The 3" was shown in the pic to help in calculating acoustical length. But again, we eventually had to add more physical port length due to inaccuracies in Torres. Whether or not the NEW tuning is right or wrong via DATS, the fact that Torres doesn't know how to calculate port displacement alone is a reason to discontinue use of the program altogether.
  10. i can get baltic birch for ~$40 per sheet, 5x5ft but must me group buy only as i have to have it imported via pallet.
  11. yea i know.. bur for daily.. i've had screws break heads or drive themselves back out. They even left me a note before.. It said.. No More! Please... hehe
  12. lol, hehe.. I use it all the time.. I actually resin steel plating behind mounting holes and bolt all subs in.
  13. jon, the birch lowes and home depot sells here has several voids too.. Probably just that.
  14. there are only 2 kinds anyone would normally ever run across. Baltic which is more rare over just Birch sold at lowes or home depot

    I love lamp
  17. How do you not sacrifice output or linearity by having a humungous gap?
  18. the top part of the picture, past the 3\4" mark, where it says 3" is taking into account half the port right there which puts it at 22.25" + external baffle thickness.
  19. Nobody knows? Here is the question reworded- The depth of the box is 18.5" and the port is 6" wide. The depth of the port wall is 12.5" (leaving a 6" gap from the back wall. The question is this- Is the acoustical length shown above correct in that it is 22.25" long or do you not count anything past the back of the wall regardless of the port area size inside the box? I cant answer this because it's our debate.

  21. Bam I got it... black and white. Everything has changed now. Its going to have to be retested in color and 3d for it to be valid now, lol. Seriously, going from 4 to 6in port is not comparable going from 80 to 150sqin of port for example. I believe others experiences reach the point of no return where the port is so large it almosts acts as if its in IB.
  22. Nope.. everything is false. My buddies sisters fiances cousin with the crazy eye had me build him 39 enclosures one time for his single 15 and all of them did their best score in 0.85cuft net with 23sqin of port and was still bottoming out above tuning. Bam. Take that nadcicle.
  23. Well, from my experience, the reason your score isn't higher is because your box is too large and your tuning is too low. You need to measure your cabin gain, with the current setup installed, without the port interfering with reading first. Then you can see how frequencies react in your vehicle. then you know what to aim for as which frequency is the most efficient(resonance of your vehicle). Higher frequencies do not do well in large enclosures or at least any of the ones i've ever messed with or witnessed.
  24. How are you going to build brackets without the customer's vehicle?
