I miss living in the Carolina's. Definatly spread the word to your friends about SI. Well you don't even have to do that just wait till you install a Mag in your car and they will be asking you about it.

I am sure there are some box designers around here. I am thinking about going ported with the new mag when it comes in. Haven't quite made up my mind yet cause I want all the SQ I can get. For ported users: How does the SQ hold up on the current mag? or on the proto if you got ahold of one? I would be more than glad to pay for a box design if anyone has time. I will have to get my trunk measurements first though. thanks in advance.

its stated in numerous threads. But the Proto 15 has a bad Chrome job and some of it leaked down the pole piece and is causing the voice coil not to be perfectly aligned and at high excursion it makes a funky sound.

glad there was no, "gotta decide on a logo". that makes us one step closer to drivers being sent!!!!! WOOOOOHOOOO!!! j/k... I am just anxious to get my hands on it..... again.

having not heard a XXX before that is a tough call. I do hear alot of good about them and how they and the D2 are very comparable in their characteristics. Good luck deciding.

The key there is that IF the cuts are straight. That is easier said than done if you don't have a table saw. and don't count on home depot/lowes to give you straight cuts, I do better with a circular saw than they do. but make sure you let your sealant cure as stated above.

I am thinking about making a new box for mine as well. my current mag box is a 2.45 cuft. I like it alot, but since I am getting a new sub might just be time for a new box. Any excuse to build something.

No haven't sold the Mag yet. Still up for sale. Not in a big hurry to sell it. I can always do something with it. Of course I always say that, that is why I have a box with 3 12w3s and another box(power wedge) with 2 12w3s in it.

I am ready for June to fly by and get July rolling along with it in anticipaion of the new Mag!!! So who all ordered a new Mag?? 12, 15??? how many??? I ordered 1 15. Wish I could have got two but one is PLENTY.

I think I am going with some koda's for midbass as well! I have heard alot of good things about their midbass duty. I have been searching for a strong midbass driver for a long time. It is time for me to just buy the damn koda's and see what I think. Yes, Midbass is key to any system to get total SQ!!!!

The 15 was louder to the ear on my straight swap with the Proto and that was with a non 100% version.

dual 2 ohm is the only config the Mag comes in. So you can run a single driver at 4 ohms or 1 ohm.

yeah, my current Mag15 still suprises me as to how loud it can get. let alone the new version. As much as I want to do 2 I will probably stick with one. buuuut, I am itching to try two. who knows, I will decide when I get back from vaca and the sale is on.

yeah, that is what I am thinking. But that calls for a new amp also. I could always grab two for now and a new Orion 2500D in a couple of weeks. this could get ugly.

sorry just had to post how damn psyched I am now that the announcement has been made about the new driver sale. I knew it was coming any day now it had been too quiet around here. So now to just figure out 2 things: 1) how/where the hell I am pulling the cash out of my ass for new sub(s) after vacation next week. (hehe... it can be done) 2) do I stick with a single 15??? dual 12s??? or dual 15s???? but of course the whole point of this thread is... NEW SI SUBS ARE SOON TO BE HAD!!!
