  1. No, not at you Brutal, I was refering to Julian and his fiasco
  2. I know what you are talking about. But I don't slander other companies so lets keep it civil
  3. I know what you are talking about. But I don't slander other companies so lets keep it civil
  4. the raw parts would more than likely not be a problem, however the cone and spider wouldn't be pre assembled to the coil because we couldn't line up the coil in the gap properly with out the motor and basket in hand.
  5. Like always I would guarntee my work. Spiders will loosen up a little but no I wouldn't expect to see a spider pack with 5 spiders bottom out by pushing the cone with your hand if that's what you are getting at.
  6. I,m sure those aren't formated photos but if the printing is that large the outside subs will wind up in the outter pec area and might not be fully visible.
  7. Number one thing to make sure is that it'll go back to factory and you can access components without having to dissassemble everything like if a sub blows you don't want it to take 10 hours of removing panels just to switch out the sub
  8. Open tooled parts just like all the other manufacturers use, cones, 12 spoke baskets, progressive spiders, ect.. If custom coils are wanted I can have Precission Econowind make whatever would be needed. If there is a demand, I would have a standard list of parts listed with their coresponding specs, for example cone Sd and weight, spiders with their deflection and weight, ect. I think the most helpful thing I can offer is T/S parameters which I don't think anyone else does.
  9. If there is enough demand I will start offering recone services and spare parts. I have the newest version of SpeaD speaker design software so I can give accurate T/S parameters within about 5-10 percent error. So that you will have a general idea of what type enclosure to use. And I can even get all drivers, not just subwoofers put on the Klippel for a reasonable fee. No pricing on parts or services as of yet, but they would be in reason maybe even a little cheaper than others out there. If I get enough responce from this post I will begin gathering parts, including baskets.
  10. I expect a beta version to be out in the 3rd or 4th quarter, however I doubt this driver will be up your alley. This is going to be an extremely high output driver with a lot of wow factor to draw attention. We are still in the process of figuring the true performance of the competition. Once that is established we can figure out how much louder we want to make the sub at a giving price point. Along the way I'll keep everyone informed with the process and the reasoning behind our choices so you all can appreciate the work and knowledge put into creating truly great product.
  11. I expect it to be a while but I will be looking for a select few to do some real world testing that has experience with extremely high output systems to get some feedback and to see if any tweaking needs to be done. But we are a long way from that right now.
  12. Yea cv stroker, they headed the car dept at Orion also. (had a brain fart there for a minute). These guys are truly geniuses in their field. We are real excited about the product we are trying to bring to market. The first is a extremely high output driver, then we are going to work down the line up. It'll take some time to perfect, but perfection takes a little time.
  13. I have changed to a more competent supplier. So I don't get caught with my foot in my mouth again all I will say is I have big things coming with the help of Enrique Stiles and Patrick Turnmire. Anyone not knowing who these engineers are, they are responsible for a ton of high quality drivers. Patrick's software SpeaD is The standard design software in the industry. They are both responsible for the original Orion Strokers and are regarded by Vance Dickason and Klippel as being two of the top engineers in the business. So in a little time we will have something that'll turn heads. When we feel everything is just right I'll let everyone know.
  14. Better invest in some airbags. I can already see your back bumper dragging the ground.
  15. The type of sub might help. And I guess we can assume this is a daily set up
  16. Disregard the last photo. The port should be 2.25 inchs wide I think. The port extension on the left of the box was 9 inches
  17. The blade mount on the Makita is better. The blade tends to walk on thicker wood on the Dewalt. Do not buy the rigid, I hate it with a pasion, it never cuts correctly. If you have an air compressor get the small recipricating saw by the air tools. It accepts the blades used on hand saws made to cut pvc pipe. much cheaper than the blades that are specificaly made for it. If you go the jig saw route, make sure your blades cut in the up motion. if the teeth point down then the saw will want to jump off your cutting surface.
  18. I can't understand your math but herre is an enclosure for two 8's. .6 cubic feet per sub tuned to 35 herts.
  19. That wasn't intended as a pun bc I don't slander other people. I just refuse to have cookie cutter products. So I spend the time and money educating myself with people that have real work experience that have helped bring thousands of products to market.
  20. I have had almost every high xmax klippeled to find out the competition's true parameters. Every driver that had multiple progressive spiders had roughly 19mm of one way movement within their recommended power limits. Xmax (BL rated) which is what everyone uses isn't even physically measured anyhow it is figured via formulas calculated into Klippel's system. I won't provide info on other manufacturer's drivers that I have paid to have tested, but there are several well know drivers that can be seen at car audio mag's turitorials. I don't pretend to know everything about transducers, but I have surrounded myself with the top engineers in the industry in hopes that some of their experience will rub off so that when my drivers are debued I won't have a skared reputation.
  21. So I presume you understand music is dynamic and doesn't play at Fs long enough to be a concern. Yes 10 percent is acceptable by ALMA. However most manufactures will have body FO and spider deflection tests performed on parts before and after break in periods to adjust their products for their expected T/S changes. By my math 10% tolerance different plus an additional 10% change is a 19% difference from the original T/S parameters. And the fact Klippel recommends a break in period before testing pretty much says a good break in period is an important play on parameters.
