  9. Hmm off the shelf garbage
  10. We aren't saying it isn't possible. Prestige's fat rat. Used a center channel because of imaging issues due to the seating arrangements of it being a van. However Nolan was using the proper processing to accomplish it. I am not a competitor or sq expert, and honestly have no passion for it. However because of who I worked for I was around the likes of steve brown, Gary Biggs, mark fakuda, Brian smictt(sp?), so I understand the concept. I just hate to see you start cutting up your dash without fully understanding what is involved in what you are trying to do.
  11. No, 99.99 percent of all music is stereo(left and right). No proper sq system(purely for music) uses rear channels. The best analogy is a live concert. It would sound really funny having speakers behind you because the stage is in front of you. A proper front stage can "separate" music just as if you are sitting at a live stage you can tell that the lead singer is midstage and the drums might be stage left and a piano might be stage right with your eyes closed. The only sq vehicle I gave been in with rear fill was alpine's x5 back in 2005 but it utilized their F1 system that is set up to play Dolby digital 7.1. And even then the rears only came on for movies
  12. What you are wanting to do is not a center channel. Even if you had correct processing you would be hard pressed to even find music that is 5.1 beside of course movies. Now if you are looking for someone who has put speakers in a dash, I have done several 4 packs in 2000 body style Chevy trucks and a few boxes
  13. They are pinned to sundowns forum section
  14. If you are looking for a burp box. Pm or enail Jacob, he has done tons if experimenting with his drivers. He will be able to give you a starting point
  15. There hourly rate is a tad high. However the estimated time looks reasonable.
  16. Those were some damn good amps
  17. It was clearly over driven, look at the scrap marks on the coil in the 5th pic. Or it was not shimmed properly when the previous owner reconed it. Also the fire appears to have started at the negative lead one of the coils. Maybe a bad soldier connecting the coil to the lead? That's what I would think being the coil appears to be fine other than the wear marks.
  18. The op deleted all of his original posts
  19. I think madisound has some that are similar
  20. First off do you offer a 270 for a 2007 Toyota matrix? Also I saw a post where you stated it would do rated idle power (170-180 if I recall) for fifteen minutes with no problem. Are there any consequences doing this rated output for more than fifteen minutes? What us your rated turn on and max rotating speed? Also do these alternators have any built in surge protection or do you offer any that is external? For example our 90amp power supplies used for shows have a 1,000 amp surge protection. Thanks, Quentin
  21. No that is only the sensitivity of the sub with only one watt. That measurement is not an indicator of how loud the sub will get. What determines how loud a sub will be is it's excursion along with the force(bl) applied to that movement. For example a zcon is louder than an xcon even though it has less xmax. Because is has more force over it's stroke.
  22. The look to be a close match based on spec. I would consider: 1. Price 2. How long wait time till you receive the product once you order. If you are in a hurry.
