  1. That guy had a "EF EYE" btl, which takes a little more power to get moving
  2. If everyone knew how much mark up is on the food Walmart imports from china and Mexico everyone would grow their own food.
  3. after calculating net volume after port and sub displacement, using 3 6" ports, you will end up with about 3 cubic feet per sub. Or 2 cubic feet per port. If you use that much port area each port will need to be about 33" long to tune to 32 hertz
  4. minimum port diameter by Richard Small, the guy where they got the "s" from in T/S parameters dv=39.37(FB x VD)^.5 dv= diameter of port in inches FB= enclosure tuning frequency VD= volume displaced by woofer(incubic meters) to calculate VD VD= sd(in square meters) x xmax(peak to peak in meters)
  5. This needs to be put on a t-shirt
  6. They will be offered in 8, 10, 12, 15, 18, and 21 versions. Both the port and baffle will be inlayed in suede.
  7. ALL ENCLOSURE VOLUMES ARE NET VOLUMES. PORT VOLUME AND AVERAGE SUB DISPLACEMENT HAVE BEEN ACCOUNTED FOR. DUAL 8 1.5 cubic feet 20 suare inches of port tuned to 32 hertz 24.25" wide x 11.5" tall x 19" deep DUAL 10 2.5 cubic feet 35.75 square inches of port tuned to 32 hertz 24.25" wide x 12.5" tall x 26.5" deep DUAL 12 3.6 cubic feet 54.24 square inches of port tuned to 32 hertz 29.5" wide x 16" tall x 24.25 deep DUAL 15 6.5 cubic feet 85.31 square inches of port tuned to 32 hertz 34.5" wide x 17.75'' tall x 32.5'' deep
  8. 1200 rms on a type r ? Are you sure it's 1200 watts? A five inch port is no where near the realm of not enough port for a type r. It would only be around 6.5 inches long if it is tuned to 46 hertz. Is it around 6" long or longer.
  9. This series should work well for people with narrow trunks. Will be offered in 8, 10, 12, and 15 inch sizes. The dual 10 enclosure is 2.5 cubes net, after port and average sub displacement, tuned to 32 hertz. 24.5" wide x 12.5" tall x 26.5" deep
  10. If using 3/4 inch mdf I get 28 x 15.5 x 12.5 = 3.139 cubic feet internal minus port and sub = 1.8 to 2 cubes net. I would go ported with the 12
  11. You can fit four 12's under the seat sealed if you are willing to do a little modification. If interested I'll post the steps here for you. It does involves a little cutting.
  12. It's not complicated just follow the steps. If you can make a flushed ring you can do that.
  13. like this http://www.mobilesolutions-usa.com/howto/pioneer_buildoff_09_1.htm
  14. Jasper jigs are designed for 1/4" bits. Go buy the spiral upcut bit. It is worth it weights in gold compared to standard straight cut bits. we're both wrong, The m300 which is the one I have uses a 1/2. The rest of the models use a 1/4. So OP make sure which jig u have.
  15. If you are using a Jasper jig they are set up to work with a 1/2 bit. Your 3/8 bit is 2/16 smaller in diameter so your cutout will be 1/16 of an inch smaller than normal.
  16. I wouldn't have walled either. It's better eye candy this way.
  17. We are working hard to have them mass produced at my shop. All woofer sizes will be offered from 8's to 18's, single and dual enclosures and sealed if the market demands it.
  18. This enclosure, a single 12, runs 235 plus shipping. This box is going to Chicago for example and was $260 total. It can be inlayed with any color I have pinned to my forum. And wrapped in any of the appromimately 10 different carpet colors I offer. I will however not wrap using cheap trunk liner. That would devalue my art.... LOL.
  19. Sorry it took a while to post the pix. I'll send the invoice to you tomorrow evining after I wake up.
  20. You can not school me on xbl^2 technology. Look at my forum, I am working with ADI at the moment building several lines. If you can expand my knowledge of xbl technology more than the man who invented it, the same person I have been working with over the past two years, be my guest. The point I was making is if you keep whatever sub you buy BELOW XMAX which is defined by 10 percent total harmonic distortion you will not have distortion. Does this mean sub A will be as loud as sub B. NO. But they will have the same amount of distortion or lack there of because that is what XMAX means. And there is no way a Shiva will take 1000 rms. The Pmax on that sub is 1000 watts, which I doubt you know is the thermal rating. That sub only needs 400- 500 watts in a proper enclosure with a QTC of .7 to reach xmax. If you put 1000 watts on that sub in a proper ported enclosure it would sound like complete arseho because the spider would be slamming into the topplate.
