  1. DC Amps???!!! Pretty cool bro. I'm interested in seeing what you're gonna run off of that 175.4. Maybe doors full of 8s and some horns under the dash? Keep us posted.
  2. Unless you drive a GM vehicle I doubt they'll have a VCM for your application. On top of that the reason they probably haven't responded to your e-mail is because they are getting ready/or are setting up at the SEMA show in Las Vegas being held this week.
  3. Welcome to the forum Doc. You have quite a nice ride there sir. I don't doubt 95honda's abilities, you're in good hands there. Now if only he shares his secrets, well, we can only hope.
  4. No doubt 600 watts is plenty of power. I was just saying since there was a concern of lack of output and there was only "600 watts" going to a sub rated for "1500 watts". Maybe a little more power would do the trick, since the sub is in a small box. It'll be interesting to see what the culprit turns out to be in this one. Keep us posted. Nonsense, when I had my bl I was using a saz1500, when I sold the bl, the guy tested it in my car, same box, but with his 400watt Sony xplod amp. It was almost as loud as before. Now was that to the ear or on a meter? I bet you tell that to all the kids you sell your subs to. Just messing with bro. I'm in the state of mind that sealed boxes need the cabin gain and the only way to get more out of them is to put more power into them. Big ported boxes are a different animal. I guess it comes down to this Hoffman character and his silly law.
  5. Well it's definitely a balancing act for sure. With the install buttoned up as pictured I'd be hard pressed to tear it all up and move the box around for better sound. I'd think it would come down so some EQ and raw power. Not much else you can do with a sealed box to fix the sound. No matter what approach you take I'm definitely interested in how it gets fixed. Hell it could be as simple as the sub being out of phase with the rest of the system. Good luck and keep us posted.

  7. Beefy sub but I think it's gonna need more power to get loud.

Great pics. Hope to one day be taking my own one day. Thanks for sharing.
  9. I'm heading out there Friday after work. Taking the family with me for a little weekend vay-kay. From my understanding there is gonna be a little SQ seminar on Saturday. I'm going to try to make it to that seminar if details ever get posted. Then just the show on Sunday, and drive home afterwards. No problem.
  10. Bummer guy. Looks like no beer for you. Hard to imagine how common that condition is. I know a few people with the same condition. As an adult I haven't developed anything new, but the wife just recently started having allergic reactions to pain medicine, like Advil and Alieve. :\

WILFRED!!!!!!!!! OMG! Effing Hilarious. It's on FX. Joo should watch.
  12. Them or Fi. Shop around, shoot some e-mails off, have a little fun.
  13. Class AB amps are power hungry. Maybe the electrical can handle the added load. I've had similar experience going to bigger amps and not updating the electrical.
  14. Bummer. You know there are other companies that can get you up and running. Quite pussy footing around and get'er done! I just need one recone. BigJon reconed the other one not too long ago and it still looks new. Would I need to recone both if I got it from somewhere else? Naw, just re-cone one. Just let them know you want a re-cone to the original specs. Easy peazzie!

Damn! 152+! Chit, now I don't want to take my Suburban to the show. Congrats on the great score.

  18. Lol, I don't. Who's grandma's hands are on it? Yours or mine? Its one of the best reference SQ songs to set your low end to ... Ask Jenisa about it before judging, she will help you tune. She listens to mine before every show ... Sorry Bro ... Just trying to help, best of luck to ya Sir !!! I asked (a lot) the wife won't let go to this one ... Cool, thanks for the CD tip, I def be lookin into it. They are holding a little SQ seminar the day before. I'll be hitting that up as well for some tips and maybe some tuning help. Bummer the spousel unit did not approve your request. It seems now a days without the spousel unit's approval one can chit done in peace and feel good about it. Thanks for the luck. I'm gonna need it, I'm taking the whole family to this one.
  19. Awe chit it's a skar-gate scandal. Feg be movin files trying to confuse peeps. Like the ol saying goes, "If you can't impress them with your knowledge, baffle them with your B.S."
  20. I couldn't get them to play as loud as the DD in that box. They really need a different box. I'll come up with something better after this show.
