  1. Haha yeah but I didn't get a ticket so it's okay. Oh and not to crush your dreams of having an 80-prs but they discontinued it a little while back. So if you can find one soon I wouldn't wait.
  2. Man that 700 at 4 ohms would be a nice match for these 2 Dcons until I could safely run 1 ohm on something different. Only thing that bothers me about that is what I was reading on the Crescendo forum. Seems people are waiting months on repairs with no communication from the company. That had originally turned my thoughts away from them, although I know most people seem happy with their amps. Hmmmmm...that does look nice though. The good news is you likely won't have to have repairs done
  3. I've seen similarities in Skar and CT so I've stayed far away. From what I can tell they both are young guys who know basically nothing about car audio and just throw products together from China and Korea. That being said audiotechnix/ctsounds wire and deadener is very affordable and for the price it don't think you can get much better. This is purely my opinion though and from the information I've gathered.
  4. Thanks once I get back from Arizona in May I'll be sealing it off, I haven't decided how exactly I'm going to do it. Either seal off the door or just from the trunk and rear deck. I'd say both, but would priority the door first. that way ALL bass is going straight to your dome! haha, but seriously, you would notice an audible difference that way. Especially in the lower freq's Will do, I did notice a really big difference on the lows when I sealed up the very top. Looking forward to completely sealing it up. Ill try to get a video up for you guys so you can see the flex and such. I noticed the Zcons move twice as much as my sp4s did in the wall, which is odd because they are a lot stiffer.

  6. Agreed, also I would use security or hex bit screws on the amps, subs, mounting brackets, etc. A little less likely they will have the tools to remove anything.
  7. Ive noticed a lot of people with noise issues with zed amps, Ive noticed mine is very sensitive. In my bronco It made no noise, but when I switched to the 300 which is a uni-body Ive been getting alternator whine when the gain is turned up a little bit. Going to try a big bolt and ground everything in one spot, instead of the stock stud that everything is connected to currently.
  8. unlike the CLD, For the MLV you want 100% coverage. So basically line your entire floor, and anywhere else you can.
  9. Sorry that I missed your posts, Ive been very busy recently. From what I've read I would have to agree with this. Exactly what I did worked out well, both the top and bottom are 34.5in. Tuning came out to around 29. Thanks for the input swift, I thought about doing a top port, would have been easier. But I ended up doing center. I'm not noticing any issues with the subs. The lows were not coming through at first (under 27) but as I started to seal up the top of the wall they got significantly better. my peak seams to be around 40hz. Once I seal up all the way around it I think it will get even better.
  10. Thanks Trying to spread the word of SSA. The explorer will have the Zcon 18s in it at some point.
  11. Hmm I'm a fan of overkill so I'm not going to say using CLD on the entire car is a waste of money. I do think you should use CCF and MLV though in addition.
  12. haha what? resin it so that you don't get the smell of wood? the smell of resin stays in the car a very very long time, and I think wood is a little more pleasant of an aroma. That being said either way you can get a very smooth nice looking enclosure. I prefer resin on all my enclosures though to seal everything up tight.
  13. One of relays/isolators comes stock, and its to trigger the starter I believe. The other one is so the Kinetik and diehard are not always connected, They are too different for me to feel comfortable having them together at all times. The center console because I wanted it hidden but to be closer to the amp, because I was losing 2volts from the front to the amp. I plan on putting a pair of Diehard platinums in the front, which they will always be connected to eachother. Then 2 Kinetiks which will be run together by the amps. So this temporary change will set up for that basically. They are both AGM batteries so there will be no ill effect of having them connected.Actually when I posted that I had a older diehard gold which is not AGM, which is why I didnt want them connected. The Kinetik sat at around 13, and the diehard gold sat around 12.6.4 tenths of a volt won't matter. As long as you are not charging above the rated voltage of the battery nothing would happen. The bronco sometimes sat for long periods of time in the winter... which is pretty much where it would make a difference. Anyways it really doesn't matter because it was all taken out. The rebuild will be all Diehard pm1s.

  15. Will do guys I did get the top beauty panel all cut
  16. Yeah once I run into some more money we can work on it. The 300 will only get louder too since its only on half power and I haven't sealed around the box all the way yet.
  17. No it was during the first real snow of the winter. He was in a ditch on the highway, and I was going about 30 because of the road conditions. Right when I was coming up to where he was in the ditch he gunned it out of the ditch and pulled out in front of me. We hit corner to corner. Also there was no official report or anything because the cops stopped doing that for accidents that no one was hurt and the vehicles are still drivable. Both his xterra and the bronco were likely totaled though.

  19. Everything was taken out after it was in an accident for the insurance inspection. But that has stalled for quite some time because the other person lied about what happened, and is now suing me for his "medical bills". Which he told everyone afterward including his family and a cop that he was completely fine. It was completely his fault and I'm getting screwed over on the whole thing. Going to sue him to pay for the damage to my truck though. The plans when it does become a project again is to do all the bodywork, rebuild the rear end, then strip the interior and start on a system. Probably going to do Incriminator, as I have wanted to use their equipment for a long time. Who knows when that will be though as I am finishing up the build in the 300 currently.
  20. I've only had them hooked up free air to my home receiver and so far they sound very well balanced. I think they were definitely what I was looking for.
