whew, just had to make sure... I think it will be OK. Waiting on terminals, used gator clips 4 now. My good ol' Mello Yello bottle reflected green light, there's nothing green on the sub. Fi sucks! Notice how LOUD it is free air... that's because it is an IB sub! I wouldn't let the 3 year old child come outside and risk permenant hearing loss and ruptured ear drums, because I think i was at about 186dB around 18Hz.

oops... and this time's not a joke... and we used superglue instead of the epoxy we used for the recone so it ran down maiking it look bad Fi sucks! hehe

Though that can open up it's own debate, Xmax is my personal parameter of choice. It isn't the only thing I consider, you just can't go off 1 parameter, but it is my personal most important. Also, it is a single 4 ohm coil. Can't do it. yea i know, but i read somewhere that i can still get them as a 1ohm load still! something about wiring hte subs in series together, but parallel to the amp? idk i don't ge tthe whole wiring thing exactly, like how it all works, i just know it does and i do what it says too. but if what i know is true, then that would be a .5 ohm load? i might sell the d2, and get 2 d1's. or i was also thinking about upgrading to 1 15'/2 12" BL, but i really really can't decide. I really find this quite interesting, becasue of our conversation yesterday, and how others assumed you meant strictly SQ setup, but I knew what ya meant I'm glad to see youre just adding cone area and not switching to a different kind of driver that is designed for something other than the sound you are after

I ordered a dual 2 recone for my IB3 and had to ask for a second set of terminal connectors since it was SVC before. I received the recone, but no terminal connectors... I assume I have to wait to finish the recone till I get a second set?

So the single 4 ohm IB3 is 4 layer, and the single 2 ohm coil is 2 layer. I ordered a custom dual 2, will it be 2 or 4 layer? Or 8 Or 1
