I may have just crossed them off my list. I wanted to the HD tuner also but they want about 400.00 just for that. In comparison, the Pioneeer HD module is about 100.00.

Won't there be a lot of flex in the center of the box, or is there some hidden bracing behind the thin strips of MDF?

It dried fine. I held it a little farther away from the box as I sprayed to give it a little texture. The only downside that I saw with it is that it doesn't get rock hard. As far as the brand, I don't recall. As you can see, the pics are from '06 and I've killed a few brain cells since then. It may have been 3M....................or maybe not, I honestly can't say for sure. He's(my son) got a lot of compliments on the box I built for him, and still has it. He'll be selling it shortly as we go a little bigger.

What finish is on this box. It looks nice! Automotive undercoat from a spray can.

Even the Kenwood website doesn't say. You may want to call Kenwood tech assist to find out for sure, but if they don't advertise it, it most likely isn't.

It's birthsheet states it puts out 1460 watts @ 1 Ohm and works perfectly. It was driving 2 12" AA Arsenals. I haven't taken pics yet but was going to when I get back from vacation. I'll be asking 300.00 plus shipping. Carl thats gonna be one pissed off son! Not hardly. He's going from a Kicker 1200.1 and 2 AA Arsenal 12's to a Sundownaudio SAZ 3000D and 4 Ficaraudio SSD 18"s as soon as we sell some of his stuff.

I can most likely figure out the box but which end of the cubic foot spectrum would lent itself to more SPL. Towards 24 cu/ft or 40 cu/ft? Also, would I have to worry about suspension sag if I orientated the drivers (SSD's) to fire upwards?
