  1. The hell with that!!! I got dibbs on the first set of tens!!
  2. Hey, I am glad that someone agrees with. The UL12 is one of the best SQ subs out there. If not the best!! Sorry Jake, nothing against your subs!!! I also for fun compete with them! I have two that I am now reconing, if any one is interested give me a pm. Ray Farmer
  3. Now remember, not to brag or boast I am making a point, these are damn good results for them being a one battery setup. The batcap 8400 is a bad mofo. Cuppled with the fact these amps are very efficient at 0.5 ohms, makes it a very good setup. Also remember the car was completely shut off and the battery charger was disconnected from the battery. So this was an official dbdrag competiton setup. Ray (Team Man-Up)
  4. Maybe.....In the dbdrag street class A and B, you only can have one battery at 12 volts. They allow resting up to 13.99999 infinity. The maximum amount of power I've seen out of a pair of amps, regardles of there power rating, in street classes (ab), is 7500+ a strapped pair. So I am very happy with my results. Now when I add 2 more amps for street B will I get the same results.......Naah!!! I suspect I would get any where between 5500 to 6000 watts a strapped pair. That is still excellent. Now Street C, where you can have two batteries, I might be able to maintain 7500 a strapped pair if I only use 4 amps and not 8 as the rules allow. Ray (Team Man-Up)
  5. OH btw, Jake recommended that I buy the Maxxlink. I dont think he had any idea I would get those types of power results. Neither did I. Thanks Jake. Ray (Team Man-Up)
  6. yeah my goal would be 2 pair of identical amps on 1 maxxlink , thanks for clearing that up . what woofers do you run i've got my amps picked out i'm just trying to decide on woofers It depends on your goal. If you have the money, critical mass UL12 subwoofer would be my first and only pic for SQ. It sounds terrific, loud and light as a feather. I have 3 of them. I also recommend FI audio, DD audio or Kicker, mainly Solo x. But if those are not in your budget, FI audio again. My opinion, FI audio are the best sounding subs for the money. For spl nothing beats DD, now once again, in my opinion. But Jake may come out with an answer for that. If DD is out of your budget range, T3 audio is great as well. But the SAZ3000D's are great amps no matter what your budget is. And I am sure you all will agree. Ray (Team Man-Up)
  7. You can link up to 5 pairs of amps. Each pair must be the same amp. But I dont know if you can or should use 5 different pairs of amps. Ray (Team Man-Up)
  8. I dont know about that line driver. This Maxxlink is a linedriver of course, but it inverse phases the signal to the second amp enabling the two amps to link like in a master-slave configuration. Instead of the second amp having to link as the slave amp, they both are in master mode. Which keeps the signal to both amps even and strong, as well as keeping them from readily going into protect. But a basic line driver does not do that. But I am proud of the Sundown Line and the Maxx-Link Combo, which give you....ta da That was soooo corny Ray (Team Man-Up)
  9. Now I do mine a little different, I take it from the battery and from the amp power terminals. Before the amp was cut on, the resting voltage was 12.6. When the amp was cut on the resting voltage was 12.3 at the battery and the amp. Now I do a roll up burp. After burping, the votage at the battery was 10.2 and believe it or not the voltage at the amp was 9.8 (15 feet of zero gauge wires from the battery to the amp). The battery has enough amperage to sustain the amps. Now that tells you how much power I was pumping into the amps. Now the maxx-link divides the single without loosing single power. When you link amps master-slave you loose alot of your signal, thats why combinding the maxxlink with an efficient amp like the SAZ series, is beneficial because you sustain power. Theorectically if you have 2 amps that gives RMS of 3000 watts and link them you should get 6000. Not so because in the linking process you get a weaker signal which causes a lost in power. 10. Hello Every Body, I already spoke to Jake about this and I asked him not to mention it until I was ready. But here it is. I finally....finally....FINALLY....got to test two SAZ3000D's in a dbDrag street A application. Now this is kinda crazy but here it goes. I first tested one amp at 0.25ohm by itself. The results were 71.3 amps, 52.1 volts gave 3714.73 watts with a box rise of 0.73ohms. The amp continued to go into protect after 2 seconds into the rolled up burp. I then tested the amps at 1 ohm the results amps: 38.5 volts: 78.3 watts: 3014.55 box rise of 2.03 Second amp gave 2939 watts with same box rise. I then tested the two amps strapped at 1 ohm(each amp sees 0.5ohms). The results amps: 59.98 volts: 99.3 watts: 5956.98 box rise of 1.65 each amp saw 0.825 no protection problems NOW. After testing these amps alone I tested them linked with the maxx-link. amps 63.3 volts 117.3 watts a staggering 7425.09 box rise of 1.85 ohms, each amp is seeing 0.95 ohms, no protection problems Sorry I know there maybe some doubters, but I did the test 3 times yesterday, emailed and called Jake. Waited 2 more hours did the test again. Waited until I got off of work today and did the test several more times. So I approximately did the test 6 to 8 times. The results stayed the same. I will let you all know I have the battcap 8400 that delivers 10000 short circuit cranking amps. So the battery is the top of the line for spl. Please If anyone has any clue what I might have done Wrong or right, comments are welcomed. These results are so good I cant believe them my f'n self. Ray (Team-Man Up)
  11. Yes, I have expirenced amps that are unstrapped are louder than strapped. I it has to do with the amps efficiency. Goliaths, louder strapped. Stetsoms louder unstrapped. Sundown amps same either way!?!?! Ray Farmer
  12. Dammnnn!!!! I feel for ya!!! I blew a couple of surrounds the first time around. What are the dimensions of the box?? It seems that it was a lot of compression built up in the box. I would move up to the kevlar cone. You will go up at least 0.7 db's. Ray Team Man-Up via Team Sundown
  13. Hey, I have the same problem with my led light on my remote as well. But I ignored it because mine is under my seat. So it seems it is a more common problem than I thought. But still, hellified amps!!!! Team Man-UP (Ray) via Team Sundown
  14. Hell, I would be happy just to test out a nightshade!!!!!!! (lol) Team Man-Up (Ray) via Team Sundown 90 CRX dbdrag Certified 154.1 dbs and still climbing. 2 DD 9910's 2 Goliaths XX-5000 (until My other 2 Sundown 3000ds arrive)
  15. Hey everyone!! We say it time and time again. And I am going to say it again and again!!! Jacob gives the best customer service I have every received from a car audio company, hands down!!!! I called his phone this saturday, and expecting his voice mail, HE ANSWERED THE PHONE!!!! On a Saturday, DAMN!! Keep it up Jacob, you will be pulling people from other companies when they see the costumer service you are giving along with, not a good product but a GREAT product!!! 16. Okay, If I can make a suggestion. Based on your frequency your car may or may not be dynamatted. If its not, try this. Make your box 2-2.5 cubes, what every you do make it 19.5 inches long externally. Fire the subs foward. Make your port externally, 8.5 inches in diameter and 18 inches long, firing backwords. Flare the end of the port. Position the box in the middle of the car and place the port opening 5-7 inches from the back end of the car. And burp it around 59-62 hurtz if no dynamat is used. If there is dynamat used, do a test sweep from 53-62 hertz. See what happens. All cars, even the same type of car, are different. It may or may not help. Hey, its worth a try. But still, for the power you are using, that is a DAMN GOOD SCORE!!!! Any time you hit over 150, you are going to fight for every 0.1db you get. 17. How long and what is your diameter of your port?! I can give suggestions if you like! Team Man-Up (Ray) via Team Sundown 90 CRX dbdrag Certified 154.1 dbs and still climbing. 2 DD 9910's 2 Goliaths XX-5000 (until My 4 Sundown 3000ds arrive)
