  1. Huge thanks to the guys at Fi, Sundown, Powermaster, and definately to Big Mike. Wouldnt have happened without them.
  2. Still need to clean it up, wash it, and get all the saw dust and crap off everything so it looks better. Pretty dirty right now though. Not finished though. Going to have more highs inside the cabin when I get money (obviously), glassed doors, glassed center console, and some extra stuff on the amprack like more speakers and some logos on the black thing. Its not anywhere near "finished", but its all playing, and it looks pretty good now. As said, still need to put the line driver in and hook up my alternator. Will make a huge difference since right now the batteries sit at like 12v and the voltage drops so low that the amps shut off. Havent gotten the subs even close to hot/stinky yet, and I was beating on it pretty good. So far: Ive broken my rear view mirror off. Driver door cant be locked/unlocked from the outside, and cant be opened from inside. Both sun visors had the clips break off and are kinda sagging. Knocked the Chevy emblem off passanger door.

  4. The input I gave is more for a loud streetbeater. When it comes to a fartbox bandpass, I dont have any ideas.
  5. Ill take the advice from the loudest Super Street competitor in history, over some guy on the internet. Just a personal preference.
  6. Im glad you know so much about bandpass, and built so many of them. Got more experience with them than you do. And besides, that isnt even my design. Thats a design Steve Cook used to build 15 years ago. Then Jethro Eason started building it, and now everyone around here has been doing the 1 cube sealed and 1.25 ported for about 10 years now.
  7. Was workin at a restaurant. Nothin special. Before classes started I was doin about 65 hours a week, then when I was goin to school, I was doin 40 hours a week. Gettin paid $8.50/hr. Not a top end job or the greatest pay, just put in alot of hours because I knew what I wanted. Yeah, Ill definately let you know when its all together and playin. Ill get your # and give ya a call.
  8. If you have enough scrap wood for an extra box, build a bandpass for the 12. Go 1 cube sealed, 1.25 ported, with about 40 sq in of port tuned to around 55hz.
  9. Yeah, around here everyone has sick systems. At any given show, theres usually at least 5 people in the 150-159.9 class. When I first heard that car that was doing a 150, I thought that was so loud. Then I heard louder and louder stuff. Then I sat in the Ho Problems truck.... Crazy. When theres other people Bassracing high 150s and doing over a 160 in Bassboxing, you just wanna step yours up, and get in there with them. Hopefully Ill be up there... Not promising any numbers though, as that would just be a guess. I know it will sound loud on music though. As for funding... Just worked alot of hours.
  10. Bwahaha I bought all your amps.... Just to sabotage the company.
  11. Looks pretty crazy, but if it works, what the hell? Any scores? Does it sound loud? Or is it just a fartbox?
  12. Yeah, I could really care less how fast any car I have is... Makes no difference to me if it runs a 10 second 1/4 mile or a 40 second 1/4 mile. As long as its reliable, and will go about 75mph on the Interstate, Im good to go. Speed is wayyyyy overrated imo. Ive driven very fast cars.... Its cool and all, but for just driving, how often can you really open it up? Its just a waste to have a fast car get driven around town. Then again, when you have a system, I can do my thing while just drivin around town... Hell, my car does what it does best just sitting in a parking lot. DSG, whats the loudest system you've heard personally? I used to be into speed but then I started hearing some real loud cars and I knew instantly, THATS FOR ME. I gotta have one of those. Started with 1 cheap 15 on 500rms... Now im at 24 15s on around 20,000rms.
  13. 24 Ascendant 15s. Chevy Express cargo van. Daily driver ftw.
  14. 4 feet 3 1/4" wide 2 foot 10 3/4" deep 4 feet 4" high Pretty damn big...
  15. Heres a design I did... Took about an hour to finish and draw up. Its a little off from what It wanted to be, and Sketchup was giving me some problems, but it was just for fun. So check it out. Its pretty damn big, at almot 54 cubes external. Never really designed a bandpass before, but got a formula from a friend last night and it sounded great so I went from 2 12s to 16 12s. The credit for the formula goes to Jethro Eason. He said that it should work well for just about any 12" sub you can find. Anyways, heres the pics.
  16. Never liked RF subs, but their mids/highs are great. Loud and clear.
  17. Ive heard BTLs on 1,500rms, and they still got the job done. Very efficient subs.
  18. galacticmonkey replied to Astyl's topic in General Fi
Dude, you sent an email Dec 23rd and were freaking because you didnt have a reply by Jan 4th.

  21. 4 6s and 2 Tweeters in each door. Then the 4 12s behind you in a slanted box. Then 2 tweeters in each trim pannel on the side of the box.
  22. Hahaha! I figured Id post it over here since all you guys are into SQ and it will just stir up some chit! Yep, definately Florida! I knew a kid who bought a pair of Rainbows, and brought his car out to a big show. Keep in mind this was in downtown Tampa, and there were a ton of Donks, Boxes, and Bubbles, all with huge rims, crazy paintjobs, and loud ass mids/highs. He starts playing his Rainbows for me, and in the middle of a song basically 80+ High Risers all crank their systems. Doors up, trunks quaking, rims spinning.... Loud as hell. Even with his windows and doors closed we couldnt even make out the words because he was drowned out. He was about to cry! Hahahah
  23. Well its official! I just bought 4 Eminence Alpha 12s and 8 Selenium Bullet tweeters. Will be reusing the 8 Alpha 6s I have also. Was going to do 8 6s, 8 8s, 4 12s, and 8 tweets, but its just too much money. Instead of all 100.2s, Ill be running a 100.4 on the 8 6s, a 100.4 bridged on the 4 12s, and a 100.2 on the 8 Bullets. Each Alpha 6 will be seeing about 50-60rms. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...tNumber=290-400 Each Alpha 12 will be seeing 160-170rms. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...tNumber=290-405 Each Bullet Tweeter will see 50-60rms. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...4-362&DID=7 Flame, drool, do what you will. Just though Id give an update. Will be buying the amps either tomorrow or the next day most likely.
