Since you can't hear the difference between 1000w and 1200w do you really care? It's a thermal rating. If you get it too hot it dies, if you don't it won't. I kinda do care.... i want my sub to last.. Then only use 1000 of the 1200. There is a gain knob for a reason. lol why are you so mean? My box is ported! , its this box 15" - 24.0"W x 17.5"H x 19.50"D 3.20 cu ft Air Space Tuning - 32 Hz http://www.rtboxes.com/hatchback-vented-318e/ I know i didnt build it i dont really know how and it was the best I could do at the moment...

Well i give you some My friend just got 2 alpine type r's ported box made specificaly for the alpines with apline 1000 watt amp, i Ordered the Fi SSD 15 and have a ported box about the right size for subs with a hifonics brutus amp.

i have only asked once.

Is a Fi 15 SSD louder then 2 alpine type R 12's?
