It's not a must have ,but if you have the extra change get one. They do keep batts from robbing the weaker one and will save your batts life span. Most important they help keep a stable operating voltage on the main battery,which will help your O.E.M equipment over the long haul and your well aware of the price of that stuff.Make sure you get a alt that is internally regulated like Powermaster products.

I think there missing the point that if you upgrade the charging system for the rf the sundown will get more powerful AS WELL. clamp the amps and let em' hang, screw the DB Meters .

Drinking too much isn't in the budget, so I'm good I'm sure it'll be a blast! Drinks are free in Vegas so bottoms up!

as far as "sundown amps made overseas" correct me if I'M wrong, most if not all of the RF's components are made in china or korea. Some of the components in Ligthning Audio are the same components in RF amps and those amps are clearly made overseas. RF reminds me of the guy that talks alot of shizit about the size of his D and then goes in the stall to take a pi$$ scared some one might see his inchworm.

see if your alpine has a feature to turn off the internal amp in the head unit. it won't shut off your ext amp,only power through the head unit high level outputs ,not the low levels.See if it still shuts off .If it does not shut off buy a cheap 2/4 channel amp and hook it up to your highs,mids and you should be fine.

use tsunami installer series work great and don't fall apart at connector. There molded and inexpensive around $7 to $12 depending on length .
Dude, did u just miss my posts? But 90% of teh people that own a 3000d dont care having it say, 3000rms. They just wont it to do 3000rms+. So I hafta say that is teh stupidest thang Ive ever heard. must have missed it, checked um don't seem to find anything about "90% of teh people", or "just want amps ta do 3000rms". almost every month some one posts wanting sundown to build a larger amp .think it would cost sundown a lot of money to tool a new amp for a few amount of individuals. as far as kicker design being great don't really know .not an EE but the name could have been much better that I do know.
as far as sundown making a larger amp, I think people just want to say they have a "6,000 watt amp". so here's what ya do. get two 3000saz strap them ,go to a sign place and have a sticker made that say's" 6,000watts" and call it a day. save jacob the headache he's already got alot of projects on his plate and personally I want him to get his subs out .and as a dealer a 6,000w or 10,000 watt amp just is not reasonable.
Not to change the subject but has anyone looked at the kicker site ? They have a 10,000w ,3 ft L ,18"w 67 lb amp called ,get this generic crap drum rolllllllllllllllllllllll "war horse" ,I mean come on they could have come up with a better name then that.and I'm sure it will cost as much as a new car .I think I'll stay with Sundown Audio SAZ
