  2. i had the same problem but i also chose the xcon... just cant wait for it to get here..
  3. i was afraid you might say that. you get what you pay for i guess. ill be getting one to go with my new sub then. thanks everyone for ur help
  4. Thanks for your help. do you think i should get the duralast in the url i posted earlier or suck it up and get the xs?

look great but again bigger sizes would be better Thanks!
  6. annndd the yellow top.... but it doesnt say anything about the duralast, also doesnt mention any deep cycle? would that mean its not AGM?
  7. ok just realized the xs sais on the site that it is AGM
  8. ok so the d series from xs are agm right? as well as the yellow tops? what about the duralast gold? http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/Duralast-Gold-Battery/1998-Honda-CR-V-4WD/_/N-ja26tZacy27?itemIdentifier=330111_27319_0_
  9. np buddy, i woulda done the same. i did some snoopin around and found this battery on autozone its a duralast gold battery not sure if thats what your refering too (we dont have autozone were i live) it seems to be better than the yellow top in every way, right? heres the link: http://www.autozone....330111_27319_0_ would i be right in desiding between the duralast gold and the xs? if so is the xs worth twice the price? should i have started a new thread?...lol They make a platinum series thats a agm battery. Do you have a sears? I dont think they have a 5100. i doo have a sears never thought of checking there. on the autozone website, they only have 3 batteries for my car: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/1998-Honda-CR-V-4WD/Battery/_/N-ja26tZacy27 im guessing i would want an agm battery for the front?
  10. Are you talking to me? if so im just wanting to have one battery (D5100R) under the hood no other ones would fit and what difference would the webbing make? i do see what ur talking about but dont see why.

  12. could you explain your reasoning for both
  13. going to have a set up between 1.5 and 2k wrms. stock alternator will be doing big 3 curently have a napa battery (5100R) 1998 Honda CRV wondering if i should go ahead and order a new battery with my sub and amp or just wait till its in? and what is going to be a better battery for under the hood, optima yellow top or the xs? or should i just keep the stock battery and run the yellow top in the trunk?
  14. out of curiosity, how low would the voltage have to drop?
  15. whats considered a basic system? under 2000W? XS rates the batteries for what power you plan to run for if its a primary battery (underhood) or if its a secondary battery (in rear). It says 2000-3000 watts. I would say that battery alone in the front should be fine for "up to" 2000 watts of stereo on stock electrical with the big 3 done. Any more and add another battery to the rear and look into a aftermarket alt. Add a volt meter to monitor it to be safe. I would say most "basic" systems out there are under 2000 watts But you won't hear a difference between 14.4 and 12.8 volts. I never said you would, not in his case anyway. why not in my case? im guessing its cuz ill only be running 2k watts? when would you start hearing a difference?
  16. will this be the same with a ported box?
  17. willl be running a rockford fosgate t1500 on a 15" xcon listening to all sorts of music sq over spl but i still wanna move a lil bit of hair if it makes a difference does it make a big difference if the sub is up port back vs both up or both back? its going in a 98 Honda CRV....simular to the picture bellow, id post mine but im having a hard time figuring it out.
  18. haha wow. (face palm) i was lookin at the dc creations logo but didnt think to read the fine print underneath
  19. ok, whos a good designer that can design me a custom enclosure?
  20. ok thanks but ull have to explain the "1/2 to 1/3 octave below tuning frequency" in laymans terms. i have a very limited understanding about tuning
  21. i bought a rockford fosgate t1500bd amp and it says its subsonic filter is at 28hz. im buying an Xcon 15 wich says to tune (optimal) 27-34hz going to try putting it in the optimal box size of 4 cubes. ive heard that 33hz is the best tuning frequency all around. i listen to all types of music and i want more sq than spl. also heard that your supposed to tune the box about 2hz higher than the subsonic filter. (gives me tuning of 30hz) is that true? why or why not? what should i tune my box to?
  22. i downloaded those ones off the site, how could i adjust the size if needed to? i have no idea how tuning works or any of that so any help is greatly appreciated. sugested width is 35" for small or optimal, id like to get it down to 34 or 33.5 if possible.
