hey guys, i got a 98 Honda CRV and i was wanting to use the design for the 12" Xcon. wondering if anybody has had any positive or negitive experience with the boxes. any difference between optimal or small boxes? also i hear sub up, port back is best for hatchbacks..will there realy be a big difference if their on the same face? i was gunna have them both face to the back. any suggestions?

whats considered a basic system? under 2000W? XS rates the batteries for what power you plan to run for if its a primary battery (underhood) or if its a secondary battery (in rear). It says 2000-3000 watts. I would say that battery alone in the front should be fine for "up to" 2000 watts of stereo on stock electrical with the big 3 done. Any more and add another battery to the rear and look into a aftermarket alt. Add a volt meter to monitor it to be safe. I would say most "basic" systems out there are under 2000 watts one more thing: senario A: 2000W sub amp Senario B: 1500W sub amp + 500W 4 way (=2000W) would there be any difference in how much power is needed to run either senario?

didnt know that. so then what would adding a second sub do? move more air and therefor make everything shake more?

if down the road i wanna upgrade to 2 xcon 12's aside from geting another amp id have to upgrade the alternator and ad a second battery right?

lookin at one of the xs batteries (5100R) and i got a question, the amp rating is based on 14.4V (right?) and im guessing the 12V on the battery is for how much it puts out so does that mean the amp isnt going to get sufficient power?

i got cheap 4 guage wire goin to the amp, is that gunna make a big difference?

and if i start cranking it more and more then next step is the battery?

if i were to do the big 3 and upgrade the battery to an xs and run 0G to the amp how many watts system could i run without upgrading anything else?

What would be the ideal set up to make sure everything is working full potential? and do i NEED to do it? Reason im asking is im probably not gunna be running at full power all the time and id rather save me the time and money if i could. Help much appreciated.

18 is too big, i was lookin for a 12 or 15 tops. how do the q and xcon compare at low wattages?

just wondering what you guys would have done differently to your in car audio system givin the chance to go back and do it all over again. i usualy learn on my own mistakes but id rather save me a lot of time and money on my system. all comments appreciated!
