Welcome to the IHoP
Jason, what happened? Is everyone ok? Unfortunately, no. My son was medivac'd to UMMC Saturday night, he's very sick. This page describes his condition.

Welcome to the IHoP
University of MD Medical Center in Baltimore kicks ass. I hope nobody here ever has to experience what we've been going through, but if your child ever needs critical care, this is one of the best.

rl-10 info
I was hoping to have my new T-Box completed and installed already. Unfortunately, sometimes life smacks you upside the head and derails things. I won't get into details here, suffice it to say my life is upside down right now. Anyways, I'm currently running a single RL-i8 in a sealed ~0.35 box in my 4Runner. Sounds great but lacks on the very low end and in general output. In a previous ported box (broken design) it had much greater output and had a nice smooth sound. Denim has the box now, but I'm not sure if he's gotten a chance to play with it.

HexiBase 15" Q design
Actually, there are... but let's move on.

HexiBase 15" Q design
If he didn't say anything about it, then you're welcome to share. He did ask me not to share my measured plans online, the ones I also paid $60 for. I have no problem adhering to his request; sharing that information online certainly isn't going to affect how it sounds in my vehicle.

HexiBase 15" Q design
I suspect that Pete asked you not to post the measured plans online, that's what the "dimensionless" images were for. There's only one way to really know how the box will sound, build it. Posting his contracted, custom work online is bad for everyone involved (and just not cool).

2002 Toyota 4Runner
Sure, I rather enjoy building them. Just don't ask me to design one, I'm clueless on the physics of ported boxes.

I started working with the new Jasper jig after I got home from the Bourne Ultimatum tonight (kickass). Working with this jig is heaven. I got the sub hole cut, and glued the front wall and all of the corner "deflectors" into place. I should be able to get the top mounted and everything screwed into place tomorrow night. Enjoy the few pics...

Must-see Movies
The Bourne Ultimatum. Just got back, fantastic movie. The car chase in NYC was kickass. Hint: Don't watch any of the trailers, you'll get even more out of it.

Is it just me, or has mrray13 been conspicuously absent of late?

amps
I thought so. He seemed to be talking out of both sides, saying they are overrated and yet "cheater amps".
-
amps
Are you saying the amp sucks?

amps
Did anyone grab one of those punch150's? That's an awesome price if those numbers are accurate. I wonder if my RL-i8 D4 can handle it.

Well chit, sign me up for 4 ICONs!!!

I swear, someone needs to beat you with a clue-by-four.

Yeah, it's a good read.

RL-i8 side-firing enclosure
Wow, I wouldn't even begin know how to port a custom fiberglass enclosure. Is there a safe way to calculate the port on an irregular enclosure shape? Thanks, -J.

2002 Toyota 4Runner
Looks like I won't be done this weekend after all. None of the local stores carry a circular jig, so I had to order the Jasper #200 from PE. I won't have it until Wednesday.

RL-i8 side-firing enclosure
I'm thinking about replicating the sub enclosure created by Jmelan over at DIY mobile audio for my 2002 4Runner. Does anyone foresee any difficulties or performance issues for the RL-i8 with this type of enclosure in a side-firing alignment? I wonder if a larger driver (Fi Q 10/12, ICON 10/12, RL-i10) wouldn't be in my best interests.

Welcome to the IHoP
What do you guys think of the Arc Audio amp here? It would require sending back to Arc for repair, but it seems like a good deal once it's fixed.

No more grandpa look
I like these better.

LOL! I also forgot to mention the DeWalt plunge router on the router table to the right (upper-left, last picture) and my beloved Craftsman biscuit jointer.
