I don't think I have anywhere to fit two of those. I'm hoping to keep the EQ hidden or mounted to the sub box. They look nice though. -fp

I mistakenly thought the MA15EQX was from Memphis. I'd like to revise my comparison to the AudioControl EQL and the Kicker KQ30. Any thoughts?

I recently swapped out my Pioneer DEH-P5900iB for an Alpine IDA-X001. I absolutely love the usability of the unit, but it lacks the equalizer features of the Pioneer. I'm considering getting either an AudioControl EQL or MA MA15EQX for my front stage. It would be mounted on my sub box, not a dash model. Any recommendations? Thanks, -fp

Yeah, but they typically only charge $70. Either way it work out to $95-100. On a related note, I called a local shop to see what they want for 1/0 amp kits. They have the audactiy to charge $180.

I have a bit over 10 gigs of music, so I'd need a 16. Follow up question, would seek time be slower then a HDD? - Flash memory is faster than HDD storage (for reads). - IDE/SATA/SCSI is faster than USB. So, assuming both drives are on a USB bus (based on the original post scenario), the thumb drive should have faster seek times.

Wow, this new box sounds great. Amazing what a SAX-100.2 can do with a pair of RL-i8s. I'll post a video later if I can dig up the video camera. -fp

If I roundover the edges, I'll need to give the same treatment to the baffle. That would completely change the look of the box. I sorta like the hard industrial look with the screw heads showing... only one of the RL-i8s came with a gasket (might sell that one). Decisions, decisions...

Took a few hours tonight and threw this new box together for my pair of RL-i8s. I think it came together well, won't be able to test it out until the morning. Might run a roundover on the edges, what do you think?

New goodies in the mail today. The EPIC 12" is just for playing around (maybe). Picked it up from PE as part of that TC blowout. The Alpine will be replacing my Pioneer DEH-5900iB.

Wondering how the TC-Sounds DVC2 12" on sale at PE would compare to my two RL-i8's. Any idea? Either will be powered by a SAZ-1500D. -fp

No, I believe they are intended to be used in an active setup. At least that's how I had planned to use them. The Polks have xovers. -fp
