NEW Nightshade Pole Plugs
I bet they'll handle that for burps no sweat.

2 SAE-1200D
They can be strapped with a Max-Link. I think you'd be better off running a single saz-1500d @ 0.5ohm.

Nice. I expect to see lots of posts like this with everyone's amps arriving each day now.

SAZ-3500D Power Testing
Also when we did the 12v testing in my Explorer it was only at my peak burp frequency, not at box tuning. We would have seen more power at a lower frequency. I might need to do those tests again.

Is a 3000W amp really a
This is something the average consumer shouldn't worry themselves with. The majority wouldn't understand it & it would lead to mass confusion and hysteria.

Box Modification SPL Gains
Keep in mind that as you cut down the port you're adding that volume to the box which in turn lowers tuning.

comparable subs to nightshade
was there that much of a difference when switching from your BL's? some people have said the nighshades arent quite on the BTL's level, but i wouldnt know. I've used all the subs form Fi and the NightShades were louder in direct swaps including against the Btl.

comparable subs to nightshade
None. NightShade > everything.

3500D specs please
It won't be crazy at all cause the way it looks now there won't be anyone there.

Box Modification SPL Gains
The amps are only having trouble in the Jeep cause Jacob is running 16v. In a 12v setup they burp @ 0.25ohm just fine. I don't like recommending 0.25ohm to anyone though cause they get touchy wired that low. You need to know what you're doing and your gains absolutely must be set correctly. A good electrical is also needed since the current draw goes up substantially when wired low.

3500D specs please
Rated 1ohm stable but like the rest of the SAZ series amps they are tanks and will take serious abuse. The saz-3500d I've been testing has spent 99% of it's life so far @ 0.25ohm and that's where it will stay for most of it.

Some Initial 3500D Testing
I got a little testing done. These are "unofficial" results. Until I use Jacob's equipment I won't consider it official. I did not use peak hold on my meters (and yes they are true rms). Instead I recorded my 3 meters all in real time with my camera reading ac voltage output, ac amperage output, and dc voltage input at the amplifier. Then I slowly rolled into the volume to prevent spikes and held it for 5 seconds so the readings could level off. Results: 2,318watts @ 2.9ohms after rise @ 13.7v after drop. 4,040watts right around 1ohm after rise dropping to 11.3 volts. Again, these were not peak hold measurements and these are unofficial results. I'll get some official results from Jacob's equipment on Monday or Tuesday. That way all our testing will be uniform from the same meters.

New Sundown 3500D's in hand!
More pics. From smallest to largest; saz-3500d, saz-3000d, saz-1500d, sax-50.4, saz-1000d Saz-3500d measurements. Heighth and width are the same as the rest of the saz series amplifiers. Case is 26" long Including the rca termninals and power terminals it's 27.25" long. Width is 10" at the mounting feet. Heighth is a hair over 2.25"

nightshade 12 or?
NightShades do very well on 1500w or less.

Box Modification SPL Gains
That was a different setup. You'll see he has 4x saz-3000s listed in the sig where he's only using 2 right now.

Sub box for a 15inch Nightshade
I'm reading the depth of the box as 16". That means you have 10" of mounting depth for the sub. Remember that the sub mounts on the outside of the box so you don't just go by internal box dimension. Also if your sub has the cooling option (pole plug) then there's no need for space behind the magnet cause air doesn't flow through the pole vent anymore. Mounting depth is about 9 3/4". Maybe a hair over that. Outer diameter is about 15 5/8". I always cut to 16" for a little extra clearance. Cut out is 13 7/8".
