  1. your car has a full frame tho... so it really does not pertain to you .
  2. Sounds like a waste of wire bro. 1/0t used in lengths that short are good for +600a at 14v. well my problem will never be not enough current then im in no way saying he should follow me and do just as i do.... only sharing what i have done..
  3. you can do that... i run mine to the battery... all my grounds tie into my front battery. i have 2 0 gauge from battery to frame, battery to motor, battery to alt. all - so a total of 6 runs of 0 gauge for all my ground up front. but i run a little more power.
  4. What? SSA isnt the end all be all sub i didnt say that at all........ infact im not sure how you even got that out of what i said. like i said.. i was drunk... and i over looked that he spent that much on the subs AND box... either way. i was quick to admit i was drunk.... its your money i was just wondering.
  5. your alternator should look a bit like mine.. this is a 6G .. yours maybe a 4G.. its just a little smaller..... if you look at this pic.. there is a red wire that is on the mounting bracket... on the side of the alternator.. its a 0 gauge that runs to my front battery that also ties in with the other big three grounds. let me know if the pic does not explain it well enough and ill try again
  6. right on... i was drunk when i wrote that.... but i was serious never the less.... and of course i have to now say this... just cause you have that much power dont mean you need to push that much power!! and of course we know the Dcons are known to take more then 300 watts responsibly (trying to get away from saying "underrated")
  7. who ever told you that shit is a straight up lier..... and thats not a mechman. so mechman koo then ? so a singer ? i run mech man ... my best friend steve runs sunger... i love mine ... he loves his.
  8. who ever told you that shit is a straight up lier..... and thats not a mechman.
  9. i only have 1 question. i seen this topic this morning and i figured someone would say it......... but... if you spent that much money on subs..... why the fuck wouldn't you buy some SSA's?.... i mean damn .... its our home .... first off... and second off... its a way better sub........ so why?
  10. how are you running ... i thought you sold a bunch of your batteries....... are you just counting on your alt?
  11. the tools they use at auto zone are designed to be used by tools... its all computerized. your local mechanic probable used a analog load tester.. that are not very reliable 2ndly i have worked at autozone.. and there load tester for the alternators only goes up to 130 amps. im skeptical of them saying it was putting out 240 amps... i doubt they have a 300 amp load in there machine i have had voltage spike issues before... it seem to be caused by bad batteries.. i replaced them and no more spiking... but also can be caused by a weak ground to the alternator case.
  12. my American bulldog got out of his indoor crate, shit once inside the crate, broke out, shit two more times, ate all the cat food, threw it up then, pissed all over one of my Yamaha monitors none of the shit or throw up was on the tile either.. allllll carpet..... SWEEEETTT
  13. unhook your runs to the rear.. take it to autozone and have them load test the alternator
  14. WTF is that shit ^^^^^^
  15. what version is that .. that song that is
  16. weird.. jon phillips and josh phillips both run Nightshade V2 15's
  17. i think the Zcon coils are dark anyhow... that box looks like it needs work... you traded even? that little truck is gonna hammer. good stuff
  18. i would run 1 if they made one for my car. thats just me personaly
  19. umm i think the nightshade V1's were the first subs i ran in that box, then the nightshade V2's it was a good box, it was a big improvement from the previous box i had... and of course the box i have now is better then all the boxs i have had before... so far. im tuned in for this build,. your wood work is on point, and your sub choice is nice, its gonna be beast in that little suv... have fun
  20. SBN puts everything in the car audio world behind... just like CES does.
