i was drunk came out kinda confusing.

i remember back in the day.. 4 gauge was thickest you seen outside of SPL rides...... but,.,. if your strapped on cash.. if you feel you need more... 2 runs of 4 gauge is the same if not more then 1 run of 0 gauge.... so make 1 run now... and later if you need more.. and you have a lil more cash.. make another run.

the Q is a good sub... but.. it is a sub that is best when used gingerly IMO. ... so it does not need more then 1000 clean watts IMO. the Q is good for SQ, and people that are looking for LOWS... but.. its best used when IN THE HANDS OF A EXPERIENCED person.IMO. so .. with that said.. again IMO.... 1000 watts CLEAN. the just fine. but. if your not an audiophile... the Q is not for you ....... IMO.

if your going to get a bigger alt and a yellow top.. or an added yellow top then make it a run of 0 gauge.

at 13 feet i would do it .. you wont be running a full 1800 watts anyhow.

im about to go to dinner with the lady.. so ill respond with my solution when i return... but i will tell you ... with larger boxes you will get a better low end and mid bass response with those 6x9's, see they are a IB kinda set up for response. so IMO with a bigger box come better sound from 6x9's. oh btw.. if you need to can you either add a set or take a set out of the set up?

pretty sure i run a 4 gauge for my chicks jl 500/1 aswell.... like he said.. it MAY work just fine. how long of a run will it be.. there is a chart that shows the amperage to length for wire rating. BTW there is a 2 gauge aswell..

tons of ways to do this... budget and goals would be the best way to figure this out.. budget being key for my solution... BTW i have done this many many times.. some of the older members may remember be being part owner or a limo/party buss company..

well your lacking on some info.. cant tell you anything about an amp with out knowing what kind of 6x9s they are, model and year included or the RMS. you have the 6x9s in truck style wedge boxes?

i ran a pair of the older BL 15's on 3k in 6 cubes tuned at 33 ..... they are great subs, hand abuse well, a great first sub for someone coming to the underground side of things,

they sell a wood filler... its made with wood dust.. so it takes paint more even then body filler... body filler works.. but you may be able to see where it lays. do a test batch a blank piece of wood and see what you think.
