it really keeps up.. its wild! in my black car it was my first time going active trying to keep up with my sub stage,...and i failed.. but this time WOW its loud clean clear full and you can hear it WITH the sub stage.. im happy!!! i do on the other hand need to figure out how to dampen my over head console. it rattling a bit. ill try to get some vids.. my busy season starts in the morning.. so. damn and i was just over there. i should have stopped by. when!!??

i think the reason why we have so many questions is that amps down normally blow for no reason... out of the blue... not in daily use... if your electrical back bone is good and the amp is being used the way it was designed, then there should be no problems,.. IMO i think thats why there is such a dark wonder by so many members.. but i could be wrong,.

list a budget and the guys will help you find one. use a REAL budget.. and know that when you buy a good amp.. it will last for a VERY long time.. and if you use it correctly you can resell it in the future when you decide to upgrade. those subs are beast.. i have one in my g/fs car.

Before recommending new equipment you should recommend methods of checking existing equipment for malfunction and improper install. Since the equipment previously worked in a different instsall lets examine the current install and equipment. we got to that the info was out of order, regardless the amp is sub-par....... perhaps thats why hes running the bass at +6 and perhaps the previous owner was aswell..

+6 is NO GOOD AT ALL you will murder those subs... lets back that down alot. lol it may not cut off any more at all.

you need to wait and see what your friend tells you .. you should also check to make sure you dont have a dead coil. you will need a DMM for that.

well thats the most commen problem your looking at so far.. its hard because you dont know anything.. how its wired the subs impedance.. you could have another issue.. bad ground, thin power wire, not enough current.. you could have the bass boost up to much on the deck or the amp... there are alot of issues it could be.

you would need a digital multi meter.. or like i said ask your friend. a power 2 ohm amp is kinda tricky. i know that rockford made a line of them for a while, and a few other companies did too.. the JL slash series is always an option... its a damn shame that they are not dual 1's.. (ormaybe they are) because an amp would be alot easier... but either way you have a NICE pair of subs on your hands for sure.. now you just need to power them well... and if you like them now.. ha ha JUST WAIT untill you have them powered correctly.. you will be WOWED. FWI beat me too. it.. good call.

well that amp is rated at 4 ohm mono for 1100 watts..... soo.... first thing is first. make sure they are indeed dual 2's then you need a new amp. somthing that put full power out at 2 ohms. IF they are indeed dual 2's but you need a new amp anyway that one is a piece of shit. . its RMS 550 watts.. not anywhere near 1000 anyway. so i would replace it anyway no matter what.
