i have been drinking.. so im not gonna read 3 pages before i speak... i had 2 15inch fully loaded FI BL's on a saz 3000d in 7 cubes.... subs were killer.... NOT an SQ sub.. but not the worst sub... SQ wise.. it hammered.. but also was good at fast reseponce compaired to some other subs...... they handle power like a champ. great with abuse. i think its one of the best moderate biggener subs... meaning.. its the best sub IMO... for someone trying the big jump into true high power real audio..... coming from kicker shit and what ever else these girls are running these days.. into man hood.... the reason like stated,.. they will handle abuse and clipping and heat like champs.... if you asking your self why dont i still run BL's is because i jumped to sundown nightshades.... and the shades knock harder with more athority.. and have more of a fuck you aditude.. IMO... no where near an SQ sub but god damn they sure do take care of those long low body shaking notes.. and thats what im in it for... long story short i got love for the BL's but im in love with sundowns... and have been for long time......

it can also be caused by exterem mistakes.... i had a dvd screen i had a movie on.. and the volume of a movie is much less then a cd... so i had it at like 46.. and CD level was 32... i started my car,.,. put in reverse.. noticed i had a DVD on... touched the CD button.. then BOOOOOMMMM LOUD and shit.... then i tunrned it down and REEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR is all i heard.... wonk wonk wonk

sorry i misspelled alot of shit.. im drunk, but thats where i would start... a new deck is the last thing i would do if funds are low.. there are things you can do at home to fix the problem as stated.. a jumper wire... but me personaly i would send it off get it done right and then add the grounds... but the jumper works too... but at this point still not even sure the head unit is the corporate

it can be... but it can also be a bad ground in the most unlikly place..... the reason i ask if its a pioneer is bcause.. they use a diod resister on the internal ground of the RCA wire... and it can blow very easly .. causeing a wine and a voltage noise..... best thing to do in that cause is to take an ipod with a mini to RCA cable.. connect stright into the amp.. if the noise is gone then its your head unit....... send it offt o be repaired.. .then when you get it back add a ground, to the back of the head unit along with the normal ground..... some people even add a ground to the RCA wrapped around all the RCA outputs.

find a good company, there is one here in texas that i use called pyrimid audio repair.. i know sounds shitty but its in austin texas and they are good.. they did one of my touch screen pioneers, 110 bucks.. shipped bacxk to me..

could be a few things.... first off.... is it a pioneer deck?

burned coil, low voltage and 1 RCA being bad will cause this aswell.

i also have accsess to trade my head unit for another... either a alpine CDA-9855 or a pioneer DEH P860 MP and PS im not scared to do a three way active infact i would love to.. but im not sure i have the head unit for the job.

well budget... is not unlimited... i have already bought the Sundown neopro8's so i must use them, tweeter budget,. i guess... 200 or so for the pair... and thats if you can help me set them so i dont blow them, and have to buy another pair and another pair... time/effort. i have a fiberglass guy.. that i will have do the job.. but hes kind of a wihny bitch that thinks the driver side tweeter should "slap the passerside in the ear and the passenger side tweeter should slap the driver in the ear" so.. hell do what i pay him to do,.

I have a triple alt setup. I have 8 runs of 0 front to back and I have about .1-.2 voltage drop at full tilt when the note hits then it's right back to 14.4 as long as the note plays. I know where your coming from though, because I was worried about it too. We were planning a rack under the truck for other batteries, until we found in not necessary. And yes it is birch, I like working with birch MUCH better. It is also a lot lighter than mdf. me= jealous!!!!
