  1. Did it damage the amp at all? I'll probably bolt the amp down instead of screws. not yet...i prolly dont play as much as some people tho.
  2. i did it in the towncar.. because of space... but i run a 1.5 inch thick box... still not thick enough to stop all the vibs.. so i also use endlink rubber bushings under the feet... i would run a tripple 3/4 inch baffle if i had to do it again.... PS i break amp mounting screws even with everything i do to stop the evil.
  3. i want to now!
  4. for an saz3k
  5. extra glue burns off..also metals give off a smell when heated for the first time. ie coils.
  6. how much for a set?
  7. man porting in to the cabin would bring numbers... but im worried about the sound.. as i know your looking for that "trunk" sound from a sub. so i think it may defeat what you want... what do you think about a sub back port forward
  8. now why would you do a thing like that?
  9. lol i may be old but your the one digging in the trash! back in the day you didnt need big huge amps alot of subs were 50 watts RMS. not very useful now.. but a interesting find.
  10. signel booster for his screens.
  11. oh shit your right!!!! ok ready watch me do me !!! 5000son
  12. cant even remember... i know i was told to call back and ask for gorge the owner.. but i dont think im gonna.
  13. well when i had joined i had already spent good money.. a few amps and some subs.. i joined out of love for the company.. and to spread the gospel of sundown.. sundown has blown up big time! spreading like wild fire... and im happy for that.... i just hope jacob that you DONT lose that small company known by a name and not a number type company.... but such is only destine when 1 man is spread so thin. doin it big.
  14. and thats why im so mad.... the recone i dont mind paying for....and if he would have told me 30 bucks shipping i would have just decided if i wanted to spend 80 bucks on it,. but to tell me its the same price wether hes shipping 2 lbs or 40 lbs get real... and the sub is not worth less now... thats the price of the sub new if you shop well.... not what its worth after all these years... and the last part that pissed me off he tells his dealers they have a 3 year warranty... so make sure they use that as a selling angle...no on offers a better warranty when i talk to the guy about warranty he got all offensive and then quickly told me there is no warranty on anything,.... its cool im just gonna spend my money so where else... im gonna try to do a hybrid on this maddasuka
  15. fix it before your sorry.... are these new speakers ran off the headunit? or a amp? do you have a sub on that system... ran off the RCAs of the headunit or off a LOC ? eitherway at this point you need to add a ground to the back of your stereo.. pull it out.. remove a case screw.. tap a ground in.. off somthing other then your wire harness ground....
  16. cool input do you think the subs would sound louder with a sealed box? lol... now when you say "louder" what do you mean..... take the time and read around about what goals meet what box you may be looking for.
  17. yeah the box seemed to be about 6 cubes to me......... 4 cubes was the smallest size that an 18 inch shade can be ran is...... i think matt got mixed up! once you get that sub in the trunk it will sound smoother.. if your plans were to take back some of that trunk space.. i would try 4 cubes.. and trust me.. the trunk install will change the sound of the sub. you noticed the change from my same set up in a trunk to a cabin..
  18. it seemed to be getting out of hand....shit.. i met people that dont even have a car that are on team sundown... one kid that has like 2 audiobahn 12s and a boss 300 watt.. and hes on team sundown. dont know alick about car audio..but hes team. and it makes it hard to sell sundown... because everyone is team priced.. so why buy anywhere else. i see one kid... now keep inmind hes on team sundow... tell someone that you dont need to buy a LOC to run off a factory h/u... all you need to do is grab your old playstation.. cut the cords off.. splice them into your speakers in the rear and run them into your amp........ AND IT WORKS GREAT FOR HIM AND 6 OF HIS FRIENDS THAT HE HOOKED UP;......... team advice. anyway.. it just used to make me feel like tha hulk inside knowing these are my teammates.

  20. i called the office.. and WOW... what a huge problem. 33 bucks for shipping if I SEND THE SUB TO ATOMIC to be reconed.... 31 bucks just for shipping if atomic mails me the soft parts so i can recone the sub my self.... then of course the soft parts alone are 50 bucks... so 83 bucks for ME TO RECONE a 100 dollar sub... sadly this is the end of the line for me and atomic audio. o yeah.. and the glue failed that hold the former to the spider... i ask what kinda glue they use... he told me its different special glue... and he does not know the name of it... and on the bottle it only reads "speaker glue" so its special "speaker glue" that no one else uses. and no one has ever heard of and its better then the rest, now i dont mind paying to get a recone kit.. 50 is a little high IMO.. but ok.. but to charge me 31 bucks to ship me the soft parts... thats high..... and its only 3 bucks more for me to ship a heavy sub! come on.
